    Hi everyone.Ā

Sorry I haven’t been posting. Ā I’m a bit confused with how I feel. The new specialist was really good, but I’m a bit mixed up with medications etc. Ā I’m planning to ring my GP tomorrow to try to sort it out. Ā Today being a public holiday didn’t help either. šŸ™„

The specialist is convinced that my problems are back to the Thyroid, so back on that medication, but double the dosage.Ā

    Good morning all.

It has rained, not quite so cold.

    Happy Birthday @Allotment BoyĀ

The village walking group is doing it's first walk of the year tomorrow, the first since Covid. I shall join them. I hope my knee holds firm, it's 5 miles. Haven't done that since with the walking group in France in the autumn, although I walk most days, but it's often only half an hour.

    Good afternoon to you all.

@Pat E Ā Happy Australia Day. Ā I hope the GP can sort out the medication and get you feeling better.

@Allotment Boy Ā  Happy Birthday. Ā May all your camels spit dates!

@Nanny Beach Ā  Ā Nice to see you back Ā Hope you are feeling more chipper. Ā I am so so sorry to hear about the dog. Ā We are not eternal so may his crossing over the rainbow bridge have a warm welcome from past pets!! Ā Congratulations to your daughter. Ā Well done!!

@punkdoc I hope your day was lucrative and the results are satisfactory.

    Have a happy day everyone.

    Morning everybody.

    Happy Birthday @Allotment Boy

Hope you both get sorted @Pat E and @punkdoc.

Don't think I could walk 5 miles any more @Busy-Lizzie so good luck with that.

It's warmer today thank goodness and we have sunshine so I enjoyed my walk to the shops. When I got back, I found a poorly goldfinch on the ground in the courtyard so I've popped it into a cardboard box, with some rags and soft paper and put it into our porch to warm up. Not sure if it was suffering from the cold overnight or got an infection. It's been a sort of 'billy no mates' for the last week or so, sitting by the bird feeders but not sure it's actually been feeding. Pretty sure it won't survive but anything else I should be doing? I haven't tried water or food yet.

Bodies can be confusing can't they @Pat E ... as I understand it, our thyroids govern a great deal of our bodily functions, so when the thyroid is misbehaving it can haveĀ  a huge knock-on effect ... once they've found the effective medication levels I'm sure you'll start to feel much better ... but of course, as our bodies begin to function better the medication can need readjusting ... it's an ongoing thing ... šŸ™„Ā

Hopefully @punkdoc will correct me if I've got it wrong, when he gets back from his own medical appointment and from the bookshop/garden centre shopping.Ā  :)

Happy Australia Day @Pat E and I hope the Docs can help get your medication sorted as soon a possible for you.

@punkdoc good luck with your results and enjoy your time in the library.

So sorry to hear about your Little Man @Nanny Beach, we have our beloved animals for such a sort time and saying goodbye never gets any easier. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow. Well done to your daughter, a well deserved award.

Thank you for the kind comments.
Rather depressing news from the hospital, which I need to process.
However, a very pleasant browse in Waterstones ( they do ship to Europe, @D0rdogne_Damsel )
Also for the first time I used a parking app. So fed up parking in town and never having any change, so I got Moira to download the app. I approached the machine with some trepidation, but was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use.

Lovely photo @Allotment Boy and well done if you still fit into the suit after 18 years.

Had a wander round a GC this afternoon and bought four little pots of snowdrops that were on offer.
