Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Hmm 🤔 no rain here today @tui34 … so far … 🌂 Theres a pair of bluetits out there this morning … they’re totally convinced spring has arrived …

@tui34 are you saying that thanks to Peter and Paul our next 30 days may be dangerous? Is that dangerous as in weather or possible accidents? Not sure what 'seront' means? Apologies if I am completely wrong, my limited school days French dates from the 1950's but I do enjoy trying to understand your regular postings.
Here in France, each day of the year is named after a saint. Today is the Saints Peter and Paul. So if your name is Peter or Paul, today is your day!! (Do whatever makes you happy!)
The folk of yore of the land had an expression regarding the weather for each day. Today says: Rain on St Peter and Paul's day, predicts rain for the 30 days to follow.
Seront : will be plural (i.e. subject is days) Good for you to try and translate it.
I was widowed at 47. Heartbreaking at the time and awful for a few years but I was young enough to pick myself up and then I met 2nd OH. I have a good friend, over 80, whose husband died a while ago. She nursed him through his cancer. She has just met a lovely man and there is a new spring in her step.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Off to the hospital today for test results and discussions, then a rare trip into town for some book shopping. If I still have any energy left, I might make my first trip of the year to the G/C.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good day all, Happy Birthday @Allotment Boy (the official one) and @punkdoc, if you get to go book shopping in a proper book shop, do you think you could ask if they post abroad? I need a book asap and although it's not expensive, once I get to the postage stage of ordering it seems to double or more the price to get it here to France on all online outlets. Any advice would be welcome.
A light flurry of snow this morning, almost gone now thankfully, Hot Pot Quiz Night this evening at CdeG, don't want any cancellations.
So, must dash, lots of potatoes to peel.
Stay safe and warm all.

We are still having that wave of cold air down here. The Tramontane wind doesn't help!!
Happy Belated Birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel - you both look pretty happy and relaxed to be together for an evening. Nice.
@Hostafan1 I too, was widowed before I turned 60. Just when you think you can have some "us" time - it gets shot to pieces!
Today's expression: Saint Pierre et Saint Paul pluvieux, trente jours seront dangereux.
I hope you all have a pleasant day.

@AnnaB, "seront" literally means "will be".

Well, there’s no frost out there this morning … that’s two days running!
