    Evening.

Creature of habit, as I am, the chicken dinner is on so we can eat and tidy away before the Sunday programmes I like (Call The Midwife, then Happy Valley).

I hope all of you are doing ok.Ā

Yes I have noticed more light in the evening- hurrah for that!Ā

Keep an eye on the forecast folks as some are in for snow and ice this week.Ā

I hope that's not us @AuntyRach, we're having a new boiler fitted Wed/Thurs so will be without hot water or heating then - I'm not looking forward to it. Luckily we have a few small electric heaters to dot about the house and I've found a hotwater bottle for me!

I’m going to watch the Farmer’s weather forecast on CountryFile soon to see what’s what @Lizzie27.

We had our kitchen replaced one December when it was snowing and did not enjoy the power off situation. It wasn’t for long but the doors and windows open all the time did not help.Ā

I won't be opening our doors or windows, that's for sure!

We have the same taste in TV programmes @AuntyRach!Ā  Ā

We enjoyed lunch with our friends, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding etc then caramel cheesecake.

Good luck with the weather @Lizzie27. Norfolk will be very cold, I hope it will be warmer for you in the west.

Thanks @Busy-Lizzie, it was forecast as -4 on Wed night but has now been amended to -1/- 0c so fingers crossed. Your lunch sounded yummy. I'm just waiting for our lamb to finish cooking, better go and do the roasties!

  • Good evening everyone,Ā  we just got back from a long lunch with family.Ā  We were at a hotel and golf place near Watford.Ā  It was an early birthday lunch for me as one of the GD'sĀ  is going away to America next weekend.Ā  She is going to stay with family over there but it's still quite an adventure for her, especially in view of her disabilities.Ā

  • I was taken out for lunch, with OH, by middle child, husband & 2 g'daughters cos tomorrow I hit 70. The pork was dry but the veggies were lovely. Mocha tart to follow.

I've trained my three that the best present is garden centre vouchers but I haven't refused flowers or chocs. That way they can spend to their own budgets which are none of my business.

    Seeing youngest tomorrow.

Evening @Allotment Boy.Ā  Must have been a long lunch! Happy early birthday.

Your GD is brave to travel to America, especially if she'sĀ  going on her own. Hope she enjoys her adventure.
