Bed time. Ā Luckily the window is open, so it’s slightly more comfortable than 32c.  🄵

Evening all, a bit drier outside but not very nice. We walked down to the paper shop and our little brook is in full spate with water cascading down the surrounding hills. We got a stick and unblocked one drain in the lane - well, you've got to take your amusements where you can find them haven't you! Hopefully it won't flood and make the lane impassable, the recent new drain seems to have improved matters.

I had to go back into town for a much needed haircut this afternoon but didn't enjoy the journey, long cold wait for the bus and town was crowded, one of the uni's was having an Open Day apparently so lots of young people milling around. I do now look more respectable however. Whilst I was out OH had very kindly assembled my new father and child floor lamp which is now beside my chair. I'm hoping it will help my eyesight when I'm reading.

Do hope you will be ok @didyw and everybody else whose suffering.

Good morning and good afternoon @Pat E.Ā
Wet and windy yesterday in London. We cought up with friends which was lovely. I realise how lucky we are to still have them after decades. I have known them 40 years and OH was at school with one!Ā
We also saw the moon exhibition. The moon was spectacular, I wish there was more astronomical information. As a visual effect inside the painted hall it was quite good.
Today we are going to see family.Ā

    Best wishes to all.

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
The Museum of the Moon is an amazing artwork @coccinella … it’s been touring the country for several years now … my old employers the Norfolk & Norwich Festival are one of the sponsors and it was here on the plain outside the forum in 2017 … I imagine it is transformed by each space that it’s shown inĀ

Thanks for the reminder @Lizzie27 - have now just booked a haircut for Wednesday - my hairdresser has an online booking system where you choose your stylist and can see which days/times she has available.Ā  And pay online too!Ā  Fingers crossed the croaky voice I had yesterday and which went away by the end of the day was not a precursor to the lurgy that is going around.Ā  Maybe the vits. are working after all.Ā  OH is up and down with it.Ā  Currently sitting on the sofa feeling sorry for himself.

Great pics @coccinella!Ā  Thanks for the link @Dovefromabove - didn't know you worked for the Norwich & Norfolk Festival in the past!

    Afternoon all,Ā

The Exhibition looks good @coccinella, glad you're enjoying meeting up with your friends.

The day started with sunshine and blue clouds whilst we were having a late breakfast in bed, then OH walked to get the Sunday paper and I tried to protect more bulbsĀ  squirrels was having a fine time digging up. Found some metal mesh behind the shed and pinned that over the bulbs. Trouble is all these bits of mesh, plastic cloches etc. all over the garden are not good to look at - good job it's only temporarily. A very heavy shower/hailstorm stopped outside work for a bit then I did some weeding of the purple slate square in the back garden, which was rather waterlogged to say the least.

The good news is that we had daylight till about 4.30 pm so the days are slowly getting longer.
