Chive, I totally agree with LB comments, always good to see you as and when you can. I hope @star gaze lily is doing okay🤞 Yes, LB, it's always difficult as we all get older, a right b*g**r. Biglad, the berries look really, good, well done on growing them, I wouldn't have a clue. Have noticed that some daffs have developed their flower buds, crumbs. Another little alpine type flower ( can't remember it's name) is in full flower too. Things are going to have flowered and gone over before Spring even gets here at this rate. Will sign off for now, lovely pic LB to end the day👍night all.
Yes, this weather is really strange, isn’t it? I have two bottle brush (Callistemon) plants in pots and one of them in the front garden (north facing)has flowers. The other does not (south facing). Both look ok though (🤞).
Hello all. My temperature is getting better and I’ve had a good sleep today so feeling more human but wiped out. Debs congratulations, hope he’ll be very happy there. Chive lovely to hear from you and glad you can pop in. Sending good wishes to you and mum. LB glad you enjoyed your meal with friends. Back to bed still feel rather crap but better than I did. Night night all.
Rosie, I'm so glad that you are a bit better. Hope it will soon pass.
Chive, nice to see you. Sorry to hear about your Mum poor movability.
I wrote message yesterday evening but forgot to press Post button. I spent almost whole day at cottage yesterday. I have time to sip little bit more tea and must go to the school. It's Monday.
Wish you all nice and warm day, and see you later.
Good morning all. Fiancé starts new job today very excited and a bit nervous but I have every confidence in him. I have some phone calls to make then work later on.
Glad you are starting to feel better Rosie these viruses do linger don’t they?
@Biglad you obviously have the magic touch my blueberries were very healthy but no fruit. I left my 4 bushes at the allotment hope they have better luck.
@Chivetalking I can sympathise with your mom issues it’s difficult, hope things improve.
Good morning Ante and all later arrivals. Just for you Ante:
I'm going to my married brother's this morning to scrounge a cup of coffee and have a catch up. It was his birthday on 5th and I haven't seen him and his wife since then to give him his present. I just wish it wasn't hammering down outside - hate motorway driving when its like this.
Red maple, I love bottle brush plants - they remind me of Australia. I haven't had any success with them but the house over the road from my Bestie's has a beautiful specimen in it's front garden.
Rosie, so pleased to read that you are 'getting there' with this horrid bug going around. Look after yourself.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning everyone . Ante you sound as though you had a busy day at your cottage yesterday . I hope school goes well today .Debs I hope your fiancé has a good first day at his new job . LB enjoy your cuppa at your brothers .Happy Birthday to him for yesterday.
Morning all. Ante have a good day at school. LB enjoy your visit with married brother. Hope the roads are clear. Happy belated wishes. Debs hope your fiancé has a good first day.
Not sure about any magic touch - had a disaster first time I tried blueberries a few years back. Completely clueless! I'm giving the supplier all the credit. Along with google
The bushes are currently leafless but already showing some signs of new growth in their sheltered little suntrap corner. Fingers crossed for another good harvest in the summer.
This morning our regional BBC weatherperson, Sara Blizzard, forecast "wet and windy" for the week. That'll make a nice change
