Chappies have been and cleaner and cleaned gutters out and also cleaned all windows, frames, doors, down pipes etc. There was about four inches of silt in the gutters.

It has been disgusting again today after a promising start.
Yikes @Biglad what a twonk. Is your car unscathed or have they marked it? I would have been livid! The SM will probably have CCTV.
Hazel, my gutters probably need sorting out too and once it decides that there is no more water left 'upstairs' to download on us I will get out my ladders and take a look. Don't panic, my gutters are all low level and easily accessible.
Phew Busy, it must be nice to have a working landline again and that news for your OH sounds optimistic. Let's hope he gets the call he has been waiting so long for, soon!

It was sunny and cold day. My seeds arrived, tea seeds among many others. They sent me two gift seed bags. It is very thoughtful. I'm going to make tea and something for dinner, then I'll read back. Hope you all had nice day.
Good evening all, Had a very busy day shopping and eating out today 😅. Can really recommend this retirement malarkey! Weather started out dry, but ended up wet, but as the shopping centre was all under cover, it didn’t affect us too much. Just enjoying a cuppa now.
LB, I'll try to grow tea plant, and don't worry, first crop will be send to you. 😁 Maybe you remember that we discussed about growing tea before Christmas.

It wasn't a man thing on this occasion @Songbird-2 I haven't even scrutinised the car yet @Ladybird4 but it has plenty of scrapes and scratches on it anyway. Any car I drive always has two magical qualities:-
1) As soon as it enters a car park, it turns into a massive magnet, which attracts other cars to park as close as possible no matter how far away from the building it is parked. Even if the car park is completely empty, when I return to my parked car, it WILL have something adjacent to it.
2) On the road, it becomes invisible. Oncoming vehicles come over to my side of the road and anything overtaking or coming out of a side road, proceed as if I'm not there.
