Good evening everyone . Hello TBird so pleased to see you .I hope your meeting goes well tonight .
If you are coming up to Yorkshire in the next couple of weeks you will certainly need your bad weather gear . I know snow is forecast .
Thank you for your good wishes folks . Apparently this situation could go on for some time .
Now I have forgotten what I was going to say .
I will bid you goodnight before I fall asleep. See you tomorrow.

It's my turn to say good night. I'm quite tired so it's time for bed. Wish you all sweet dreams and see you tomorrow.

  • I had the pneumocal jab the other week. Sore arm for a day or so but nothing else. No idea why we were selected except age, almost 70 and 72.

Hello Mrs B3. The nurse told me this vaccination should help prevent complications from about 12 pneumonia type viruses and conditions. She said it was a goody and available to those over 65. Worth asking about Hazel.

I have a persistent / permanent mild cough which always becomes quite severe and disruptive whenever I get a cold or similar virus (Covid in June was dreadful - it's taken  6 months to get almost back to 'normal'). I am therefore hoping the jab might give me some additional protection from other respiratory illnesses.

A very good morning Rosie and all arriving later. I'll join you in a cup of tea Rosie.
Welcome back and big hugs T'Bird. So nice to see you and we all understand the busy-ness of life at times. Thank you for your kind words. When I read about you going to a Parish Council meeting what immediately sprang into my head was those wonderfully funny meetings on The Vicar of Dibley which bear no resemblance to what you probably encountered last night. I hope it was a productive meeting for you.
Nice to see you too @Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants
Woo hoo RedM - back to being snuggly again. Such a relief at this time of year - first noticeable frost here when I woke up. I'm glad I got the protective polystyrene cover on my outdoor tap yesterday.
Ante, I watched a bit of the Croatia game yesterday. I couldn't believe that penalty shoot out! It was almost like Japan had given up.
Hazel, yes the lenses are great - wore them to the Quiz last night. The least said about that the better. I had the same bewildered feeling I get during Only Connect. Who on earth knows who the Americans were who ran against ancient Presidents or the American states where the imaginary towns shown in South Park and Family Guy are based. Even my rabid rugby league fans didn't know the height of the cross bar in rugby league goal posts (10 feet in old money!). We were well beaten last night. I still enjoyed it though and they have asked me to go again next Monday.

Good morning Rosie, LB and all to follow.

I didn't sleep well last night. Around 2am huge storm woke me up. Thunders and torrential rain. My front garden is in huge mess. First school and then I can spend some time clearing all around. Btw, now is sunny and calm.
Two deliveries should arrive afternoon. They are already in delay. Last few months delivery services dropped but fees are raised more than double.
Well no more complaining early in the morning. Wish you all a nice day and see you later.

  • Hello LB and Ante.  LB I’m glad your lenses are good.  Ante hope you get some rest later and your deliveries arrive.  I’ve had my second cup and caught up on the news.  Top bird welcome back.  Wishing everyone a good day.

    Morning Ante, Rosie and Ruby.
Gosh Ante, I am so sorry to hear about your storm. That must have been awful with the thunder disturbing you. Did you put up the lights outside yesterday?  If you did I hope that they are safe and that the only mess is leaves etc. Our delivery services are a bit unreliable too with the various mail strikes we are having here. I have a few more cards to finish today and the decs to get organised. I've had my breakfast and now for a second cuppa.
