Just popping in to say goodnight.

Had a bit of a rubbish day as OH decided to share his cold around. Very little sleep last night and my nose and eyes have a tap turned permanently on. Feeling really grot but hopefully will start to improve tomorrow. Just did a few bits and pieces today, but I have to go out tomorrow to take an elderly friend to the optician. I"ve told her to wear a mask & I'll try to do the same. It will do me good to get some fresh air.

No frost here this morning but I think it will be a different story tomorrow....

    Good morning to all.

LB, you, and other, are never nosey, don't worry. Cards are for my friends, my sister will get small parcel with biscuits, present for her and card will be inside.Β
I love to grow all kind of root vegetables. It's very satisfying when you pull out big carrot or radish.Β

T'bird, sorry to hear that you didn't slept well, and about cold. Hope it will quickly pass. It very wise and responsible to wear mask, even it's uncomfortable. Hope all goes well today.

I'm ready for school. It's raining outside, and luckily without wind. I fall asleep on the sofa last night, no intentionality. Two busy days are ahead, and tomorrow I'll go to Christmas shopping. Last before holidays.Β  Β Β

Wish you all a nice and warm day! See you later.

Good morning Ante and all arriving later. Another hard frost this morning. Well done weather forecaster!
So sorry to hear you have been struck down with a cold T'Bird. That is a kind thing you are doing for your friend. As Ante mentioned, wearing a mask - with a streaming cold must not be the best for comfort.
I can hear the refuse collectors emptying the first of my bins - the recycle one - and I'm only hoping that the lids haven't frozen shut. I was going to go out and check but they are very early today and beat me to it.

    Morning all.

Big frost this morning. I hope the electric gate opens, it doesn't like being frozen.

I hope you feel better soon @Topbird and your cold doesn't linger.

I'm going to the Gardening Club Christmas meeting today. There will be a talk on Christmas decorations followed by wine and finger food lunch.

The garage rang, my winter tyres are in and they'll fit them later this afternoon.

Morning all. Cold here but surprisingly no frost. We were expecting it though given the weather forecast.
Busy, good news that you can get the winter tyres on today.
Ante, wrap,up warm whilst out and about. We're going out today and we've donned the scarves now.
Might not be around to,morrow , heavy day planned so might not have time or energy to post.
    Have a good day everyone.Β

Good morning. A frost this morning with temperature showing -1 deg C at the moment. Depending which forecast I look at, we may or may not have snow showers this pm. I hope not.
Going to do my Pilates class shortly, always enjoy that. Later plan to get the tree out of the garage ready to start trimming that up. It always takes me several days to get everything done 😁.
  • Top bird plenty of hot drinks and food. Β Hope you’ll soon be feeling back to you. Β Ante sunshine this morning through the cold. Β LB I hope you can find another lounger you like to keep you warm. Β I’ve put a heavy thick dress on today which is quite warm. Β Hazel hope you slept.

    Morning all,

Been AWOL for a bit - busy with a total overhaul of the 'playroom' (the kids ceased playing many years ago!). Shelving and furniture out, carpet out, repainted, laminate flooring in, furniture and most of the shelving back in. Biggest corner sofa known to man has gone. When it went in, several family members gave up declaring it impossible to get round the corner/through the door :o There seemed to be a sweet spot of one exact angle of attack combined with brute force which eventually did the trick. Was a similar palaver getting it out! New sofa arrives next Monday but I'm told it is considerably smaller. We shall see....

I've also been slightly distracted by that distasteful event happening in Qatar. I'm justifying 'supporting' it by not contributing a red cent to the already obscene coffers of those involved. Other than not buying anything from any of the 'partners' of the tournament, I've managed to remove several hundred pounds from a number of turf accountants funds.Β  The free-to-play Ladbrokes half-time quiz is a particularly lucrative sideline ;) Β Β

Hope you've all been coping with the cold, cost of living, etc. whilst I've been festering in the CA. I feel like I'm in the home straight now with only 8 games left (of 64) :D
