The sun is out but it’s absolutely nithering .I was going to go in the garden and do a bit of tidying up but it’s far too cold .Decided I would have a quiet afternoon and read .
Oh SGL, I am so sorry to hear that your OH is poorly. Of course it is important for you to make him your priority and we all totally understand. I hope, like me, you find the friends on here are always thinking about you and that will give you such strength. Hope you managed your walk around the village. That frost has never lifted here - positively BALTIC again.

Busy, I am at a Christmas Fayre this weekend and I have made a chocolate orange cake, a chocolate salted caramel cake, a vanilla and raspbery cake and a chocolate log. I have to take them all round to the hall tomorrow.
Rosie, I actually bought a pack of 3 pairs of thermal socks on my way to Canasta as my feet seem to be very cold at the moment.

Thank you everyone, you're all very kind. I did go for a walk round the village and deliver all Christmas cards to friends. It's was bitterly cold, even though I was well wrapped up. It actually snowed quite heavily for about 20 minutes, thankfully didn't settle. Take care everyone, night night

Good morning Rosie. Yes, cats are funny like that. I'm sure they think we are just making nice beds for them. One of my old cats insisted on getting into my case every time I packed for a holiday.
SGL, glad that you got your cards posted yesterday. It is always a relief when that job is done.
Well I woke up to snow this morning - it certainly wasn't there when I went to bed last night but its coming down now and there is a 5cm cover outside. My milkman comes at about 04:30 in the morning and there are no footprints in the snow on mine or my neighbour's drives so it must have started after that delivery. Perhaps it won't be so bitterly cold as yesterday.

I came home very late from shopping. Didn't watch the game, by I was listening match in driving. Heavy rain is persistent since yesterday morning, and all is soaked. I bought my Christmas tree and all kind of lovely stuff. Also I visited another spice store. Didn't read back because I was exhausted and fall asleep immediately after late dinner, I had sushi 🤤.
It's time for tea, my pets are all fed, and I'll take it easy this morning. Later must start with baking for my sister.
