Back from SM, my, it was busy. Hardly any cashier tills open so the queue's were long. However, I'm pleased as my bill went down from just over Β£100 to Β£40 after using my vouchers, so chuffed to bits! Included in shop were a few Xmas pressies too. Need to have a little rest now as back aching.Β
Good afternoon everyone . I managed four hours sleep . Good job I havenβt anything important to do today ,still tired . Hazel I hope your back feels better soon .I have ordered a (proper raincoat ). I have in the past had roll up macs .This one has a cape and hood ,very traditional .It is waterproof and wind proof. A little gift to myself .I am looking forward to receiving it .
Good morning all. Raining here again today but I suppose we need it. Hope it clears up for the weekend so the little βtrickle treatersβ can come out. They have such cute costumes but itβs not so much fun walking around in the rain.Β
Work today and then babysitting for Thomas this evening and a busy weekend planned.Β
Good morning one and all. It was very mild this morning when I got up - most strange when you think we are almost in November. I wonder if we will have another non-winter as last year's was. Canasta for me today later on which means it will probably chuck it down with rain. I must get the nativity set completed as I'm at the Food Bank next Thursday and want to hand it over then. I did manage to get some of the stitching up done whilst at Bestie's yesterday.
Hazel, I hope that your back is less painful now. Busy, I guess that your's wasn't too bad after your hard work the other day. T'Bird, it must be getting very close to your trip to Germany now?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning Debs, you snuckered in there. Yes, it is a shame for the small people if Hallowe'en turns out to be cold and wet, speaking of which it has just started to hiss down here. Yesterday, 'sco was full to bursting with all sorts of Hallowe'en apparel - some of it quite beautiful I have to say. Where I live we do not get 'trickle treaters' as there are so few houses and all the occupants are all 'growed up' at 27+
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
@Ladybird4 my house is on a road that leads to schools, always children of all ages walking by, neighbours either side donβt do Halloween π but others in the road do too I think itβs good pickings and the children and moms know that. I think the whole weekend could be busy but I do love it, we are lucky here never any trouble even from older children.Β
Anyone else had a lot of fireworks this week? Is it because of Diwali? I love fireworks but too expensive I find and the cheap ones are awful. I just watch other peoples. Luckily my cats donβt bother about them at all.Β
@debs64 now you mention it I haven't heard ANY fireworks near me up to now and this is most unusual as in the past there have been the odd ones prior to bonfire night. Maybe it is the expense and people taking care with their money in these uncertain times. Lily has never been bothered by fireworks either but I still like to make sure she is indoors.

Good morning everyone . Debs and LB I havenβt heard any fireworks either. I hope the little ones enjoy their Trickle Treating .I usually buy some little sweets for them but I forgot. It will have to be small choc bars this year . LB it sounds as though you are cracking on nicely with your Nativity knitting.I have to finish my scarf .
