White rabbits everyone. Pinch and a punch for the first of the month.
Ante, enjoy your bank holiday though I am sure that you will be busy looking after your crops and planting your new tree.
Lily still hasn't grasped the end of British Summer Time!
As expected, like Ruby, there were no callers around here Hazel and Mrs B3 but the torrential rain wasn't really helping either.

Good morning LB and all to follow.

LB, today will be only relaxing day. Yesterday was too much, even for me, so I'll take easy now. Tree is well watered and can stay few more days inΒ  a pot.Β

Another sunny and warm morning. I have my tea on the balcony. Forecast says that we might have rain at Friday, but whole November will be warm.Β

Good morning all. Porch is now all tidy and sister is taking my pumpkin to a local animal rescue centre to be eaten by the goats and sheep.Β
Off for a facial and massage and then I want to print off some photos for a lovely frame that’s been waiting since Mother’s Day.
    planning a lazy afternoon.
Dry here but windy and rain forecast looks like November is here!Β

    Morning all,

Awoke in the CA in time for the cricket double-header.

I think Marti put a stop to any visitors last night, but it is dry at the moment with glimpses of blue sky!

In between the games, I scooped a load of delightful, stinking sludge out of a drain and read the meters.

Once Eng v NZ has finished, I'll try and stir into some more meaningful action.

    Hello all.

We are back in France after a stressful journey. We had to change trains at Ely to go to Stansted Airport. Our train was late but we just made it to be told that the Stansted train had been cancelled. Someone told us to get on the Cambridge train which was packed to the gunnels with students. Then OH looked on his phone and saw that the Cambridge Stanstead connection would cut it very fine. So I found a man in uniform just about to wave off another train and he said get on this train quick and get off at Bishop's Stortford. So we did. Got to BS, train was late again, to find that the Stansted train was on a platform over a bridge, too many steps for OH, but there was a lift up the bridge and another lift down. Arrived on the station to see our train pulling away. Gave up trains, found a taxi. Wheelchair waiting at the airport for OH and we were in time for the flight. Wheelchair waiting at Bergerac too.

It's a bank holiday today, SM was shut, good thing there is food and milk in the freezer. I had to have sterilised cream in my coffee, OH had it black.

A deer has eaten all the leaves on my 4 new yellow roses and all the spinach. Hasn't touched the brassicas.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Evening all - well late afternoon anyway.
Busy I am so pleased to read you are finally at your house in France after such a tedious and stressful journey. I hope that the deer haven't caused too much damage in your garden. Fancy them not liking brassicas!
Debs, well done on getting to porch all sorted out after Hallowe'en. What a lovely thing to do with your old pumpkin. I'm sure the animals will enjoy their treat.
Biglad, I sent in my meter readings today - kindly acquired for me by the BG engineer. He discovered a splitting pipe iside my boiler so got that replaced thank goodness otherwise I could have had a serious leakage problem and no heating. He also assisted me in getting my new Hive and Thermostat connected. He was an absolute star!
The electrician came and replaced the defunct security light and I gave it a trial this evening when it became dark enough. It worked a treat and gave me a clear view of the pouring down rain! I'm glad those jobs have been done.

Evening all. Busy, what a nightmare of a journey...best you take over the travel arrangements in future😊 Glad you've made it home safely though, have a good rest overnight and hopefully you will feel refreshed.
I've had Lily's TV on today, even got some out on the string to dry. Nice breeze about but it's gone very cold as the day has gone on. We are on Yellow alert for bad wind (:πŸ€πŸ™„) for tomorrow, great. OH has been cracking on making spiked poles out of some wood to secure our old archway, hopefully it will get through the winter winds when they are in place.
We popped into town this morning as the Pop-up Poppy shop opened today and OH always like to support the British Β Legion and their good works. Got a poppy and a poppy pin badge to add to his ever growing collection.
I am signing out for tonight, Have a good evening everyone.
