Good morning Debs and Ruby. Sorry to hear that your cold is making you feel so poorly Debs. Hope it doesn't spoil all of your break in Wales.
Are you crafting today Ruby or is the weather OK for a bit of outdoor activity?

Morning all. Debs, have you perhaps tested yourself to see if it's Covid? If not,( and I hope it isn't) take it easy whilst away and take plenty of cold remedies with you including painkillers and tissues. Some ( really rotten) colds can really drag you down.Β
Ante, good luck at school today. It will pass. How's little cat doing? All good now?
Quiet day on the cards for us.

    Morning all.

It's a lovely day in west Dordogne. Should be 20Β° this afternoon. Lily's TV has been on. I'll do some gardening this afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Afternoon all,

Inspired, in part, by the philanthropic endeavours of the good folk on this forum, this morning I finally got my **** in gear and got to my first session at a memorial park close to where I grew up. A small team doing great work making a communal area look great again. Bulb and rose planting this morning - might need a siesta this afternoon ;)Β

Good early evening all. I have been across to see Jack, his daughter and Kitty who is still here. They contacted the Vet this morning but the one dealing with Kitty is not in until Wednesday. As she is still eating well they advised that they ring on Wednesday and speak to Kitty's Vet. Wouldn't it be great if we could access our Doctors so easily. Kitty lifted her head and mewed 'hello' to me as I stroked her.
Well done Biglad that CA will be surrounding you with a hug I'm willing to bet.

Evening all. We've left our very comfortable apartment and moved to Leipzig and into a camping cabin. Nowhere near as nice as the apartment but it's (now!) warm and we don't have to trek across to the loo and shower so better than in the van.Β

Getting a bit of an east German city vibe around here which is much less comfortable than cosy small-town west Germany. We've already discussed whether or not to do bus and trams into the city tomorrow (bit of a faff) or the 30 minute cycle ride and then leave the bikes where they may be a bit vulnerable. Think we've found some more secure, supervised cycle parking so we'll probably go for that. Not something we usually have to even think about....

Yvie - lovely to see you. Best wishes to your OH.

Debs - hope you feel better soon. Hope it's not Covid.

LB - so sorry to hear about Jack's cat (Kitty?). He will be lost and bereft. It's such a high (but worth it) price to pay for that non-conditional love and furry companionship. I feel so sad just thinking about it.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
