LB, sorry to hear that you caught a cold. Hope you will soon be better.
Hazel, I'm glad that you like new rug, and that your OH can fix the door. I remember that you mentioned how he is crafty in carpentry.Β
It turned to be sunny and calm day, little bit chilly. I spent some short time in the garden, but didn't done too much. Hope to have restful weekend. My mum brought me freshly baked baklava, which will be perfect with cup of tea. We had lovely sunset, so here it is, that you can enjoy too.
I planted my tulips and saffron crocuses and weeded the clematis bed. I used my old wheelbarrow that my grandfather gave me for a housewarming present when we bought our first house in 1973. Then I noticed that in had "made in Croatia" stamped on one of the handles so I thought of @Ante1. It was made to last.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Bussy, what a nice surprise. In those days they made product to last and endure. I already changed two wheels on my five year oldΒ wheelbarrow. It's time to rest for you after planting all tulips and crocuses.Β
Busy, I have heard those amazing tales of how tulip bulbs used to be so highly prized in the Netherlands and the astronomic prices paid for just one bulb. Fascinating!
Hazel, glad you got sorted out with a rug. Will you just cancel your order for the other one?
Ante, how lovely that your Mum popped round with some baklava. I bet it was delicious with your cup of tea. Once more you have posted a stunning picture of the sunset near you. The sky here - virtually all day - has looked like mercury. Most grey and dismal. It was nice being inside looking out at it.
Some good news regarding Kitty. The Vet is beginning to think that her wobbly walk may be due to arthritis and has given Jack and Jackie some medicine to give to her once a day and has asked to see her again next week. I hardly dare ring him to ask how she is - just in case - but that news brought a smile to Jack's face and then to mine.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Ante, door is shaved down and back up in place now. Yes, OH is very handy at lots of jobs, He does like a little project to do. You're right, everything in the ":old days" was made to last longer than they do nowadays. LB, Β we won't cancel the initial rug order as we can always find somewhere to put it.πΒ
Signing out for this evening, quite tired tonight. Have a good evening.Β

Rubee, nice that you slept well.Β
Sunny and chilly morning. I still don't know what to do today, but I'll find something. My pets and birds are fed, so it's my tea time.
Have a nice day.
