Good morning and well done Busy. I'm sure that your hard work will be rewarded with a super show next Spring. The rain will make good bare root rose planting days - as long as it isn't biblical in its amounts.

How lovely to see you Rosie. Pumpkin bread sounds very nice indeed. Did you make your own or is it bought? I haven't got round to 'adding things' in my bread maker but I like pumpkin seeds.

I changed into my gardening jeans and it tipped with rain so no gardening today. We went out for a few boring bits and pieces, such as loo rolls and dishwasher tablets. Had a quiet afternoon, watched the Strictly Results and Escape to the Country.

Hello there Busy. I'll bet that you are pleased you got your border prepared (most of it anyway?) before today's rain. Boring items maybe but essential in my book!

  • Hi everyone, sorry haven't read back. Hope you're all well.ย
A friend of mine sent me this, this morning. Looks like we can use our old stamps for a bit longer. Although C#**$tm@$ will probably use them all up. Take careย

How lovely to see you SGL and thanks so much for the heads up about the stamps. That is very good to know. I am about to watch the Women's Rugby League semi final from York - England v New Zealand so I'm signing out for today. Enjoy your evenings whatever you have planned. See you tomorrow.

Regarding stamps - how old is an older person?
OH exchanged ours and he's 80.

Evening all. Had a busy day today popping out all over the place...including taking new iron back to store as it wasn't working properly. What are the odds?! Anyway, got a refund so will need to visit a different store tomorrow and try again.
OH has taken up some more grass in the back garden this time, and he is making me a nice path right down the side of the washing line.So we will be going for more slabs and sand tomorrow too as well as a trip to the recycling site.
Rosie, it nice to see you, how are your doing, and Alfie? I hope you're both keeping warm and keep on baking your nice breads, bet the kitchen smells wonderful. My OH was up in the night, around 4am ish and he said he heard lots of birds singing, like the dawn chorus. Most odd.ย
SGL, lovely to see you too. I reckon what stamps I have will go on xmas cards but thanks for the heads up. Hopeย you are doing alright?
Busy, we watch Escape to the Country too,ย such sad news about one of their presenters isn't it? We are expecting rain and wind tomorrow so no gardening for us either for a few days. I've noticed more and more daffodils popping up today, far too early.
Time for me to sign off. Hope Ante's Monday hasn't been too bad for him. Night all.
