Good morning Ruby. Is your weather any better? I saw some horrendous pictures of flooding in Aberdeenshire and felt so sorry for the people whose houses are badly affected. It must be dreadful to have all the lower floors of your house covered in several inches of river water.

Morning again folks. Managed to get some sort of sleep after my early rising. After a good refreshing shower, I can face the world now.
Seems quite a few of us didn't sleep well either, LB, Ante.
Debs, enjoy your Christmas market, that sounds exciting and Ante, last day before the weekend, yay!
LB, I think you're right about Jack wanting/needing anotherΒ Β cat at his age. We have often said to mum about getting a pet for company, but she can't be bothered she says. Plus, Jack will be feeling the emotional stress right now and he needs time to come to terms with his loss.
Its been raining yet again during the night but I've had a look around the garden and there are loads more daffs popping through again. I'm so pleased as they are one of my favourite flowers. OH has only a few more slabs to lay for the path now and then that will be smashing to be able to walk across the area without damaging the grass or getting a soggy mess underfoot.
Not sure what's on the cards today but don't think it will be a lot. Have an enjoyable day everyone.
A special wave πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ and an hello to @star gaze lily, @Chivetalking , @Topbird and Rosie and anyone else looking in.

I've finished painting the bedroom. Took longer than I thought it would because of the pine panelling and painting around beams and the door. It has a sloping ceiling which wasn't comfy to paint under, not quite tall enough to stand but too tall to kneel.

There was a sunny period this afternoon so we walked around the garden to see if anything needed doing. I staked the sprouts as they were leaning. The rain has made the earth softer. OH is going to repair the veg garden gate and put another wire up to make the fence taller as the posts are taller than the sheep fencing that is attached to them. We haven't had another deer in the garden but you never know.Β

    Good morning everyone.

Another restless night, and another storm. Since yesterday afternoon rain is battering together with wind. I was at cottage, but it was impossible to do anything. There is no damage, and we had a long and very wet walk thru the woods.Β
I spotted small water leakage near one window, and that must be fixed when rain stops. We never had so much rain here, and this is quite new experience for us. I'm going to make cup of tea. My plan is to visit Lidl today. They have so many products for baking and Christmas.Β
World cup is starting today, but I'm not too happy with everything around organization and place.

Wish you all nice and warm Sunday.Β

Good morning everyone .Ante we are having a lot of heavy rain . As I type the rain is battering the windows and it’s turned very cold .I hope it stops raining soon so that you can fix the leak.I hope no damage has been done .Time for a cuppa .

Good morning Ante and all later arrivals.
Ante, I am so used to that sort of weather here. It is very limiting. Isn't it annoying when you had so much drought earlier this season and now it is a washout. I do hope the leak on your window is not too serious. I, too, am not happy about Qatar getting the World Cup in the first place and I am certainly annoyed by their lack of inclusivity and the vile and cruel treatment they can administer. I suspect that the love of money has something to do with it as well. Rant over.

Good morning Ruby, you snuckered in there. I suppose we shouldn't really complain about the weather as it is, after all, Autumn. Still, we wouldn't be British if we didn't moan about our weather! Got my cuppa already. Cheers!

    Morning Rubee and LB.

Rubee, the leak isn't serious but must be sorted when rain ends. Have a nice and warm day.

LB, your every word about Qatar is absolutely correct. I'm not even excited about World cup. I suspect that you can read my thoughts. πŸ˜‚ This morning I said to myself how whole summer not even one rain drop, and now flood.Β Β

My cottage neighbor called me, and there is at least five centimeters of snow.Β Β
