    Afternoon all.

Rubee, I'm glad that your OH's legs are little bit better. Sorry to hear about horrid weather.

Hazel, you two have done a lot today. Hope that journey to the town goes well.Β

Bussy, welcome to my delivery saga. I'm still waiting for my waterlily, and just received message with apologies, and that I need to wait 1 to 3 additional days.

Here was lovely and sunny day, like we didn't have few huge storms and snow. I have my furnace on, plenty of tea and book for this evening.Β  Β  Β

Ante, slight hiccup at chemists but it was soon sorted out.
Hope everyone is doing okay, particularly those in the quiet corner at the moment. Β I'm signing out for tonight. Night all.Β

Good morning all. Been very busy at work and not loving all this wet and windy weather when I am travelling on public transport which is increasingly unreliable these days.Β
I notice someone has resurrected my thread on Christmas trees πŸŽ„ I think it was a spammer but made me think. I am going real tree again this year despite the needles everywhere last year. Still finding them behind the sofa in June, that goes to show how good a housewife I am!Β

Hello everyone. First of all may I just say a big thank you to you all for your kind comments, thoughts and pm - I left the 's' off as it would just not have read right! I had a big catchup this morning. It just confirms what I have long thought about the community on here - its full of kind and caring people. All have given me comfort and strength.
Ante, I shivered when I heard about you and Max walking through the snow. Rain woke me this morning at 04:50 - battering against my window. I was only glad that it wasn't snow! How very annoying that your little waterlily still hasn't arrived, perhaps it is taking the scenic route to get to you. I hope it doesn't suffer in this long transit time.
Busy - busy as ever and with the true stalwart 'Britishness' you went walking in the rain! Its a good job our skins are waterproof. I will take a look at your pictures later. How very annoying about the failed delivery. Sometimes you think that they just cannot be bothered!
Hazel, I hope that your brushed cotton bedding and warmer PJs are helping with these cold nights we have been having lately. I too can imagine Biglad wrapped in the CA, glued to the football fest we are being subjected too whenever the TV gets turned on. Your visit from our mascot, 23, sounded like good fun. Do you think his heavy hints (i.e. comments) about the Lego figures were asking Grandpa if he could have a 'go'?
    @Red maple - welcome!
Ruby, its good to hear that your OH has noticed an improvement in his legs. Such a concern when you know that the condition cannot be healed only controlled.
Debs, I have been thinking about a real tree this year - I just love the smell of proper pine in the house. That will puzzle Lily as she does still like a sneaky climb when she thinks I'm not watching her.
Well I think that I have covered most things. Just want to say again that having my virtual friends to natter to is a huge help. I'll have my moments but being able to just chat on here is a Godsend. Thanks again and please don't feel that you need to walk on eggshells when nattering - in my family, humour is one of our coping strategies.

    Good morning all.

I'm glad you are coping @Ladybird4. Normal that you should have some wobbly moments, so hard to lose a sibling. My brother died when he was 21, cancer. I am still in touch with his fiance. I do have 3 other brothers though but I still miss him.

Thanks for the reminder that Red Maple popped in. Welcome @Red maple.

I wrote my Christmas letter yesterday. Hope to wite some cards today. Must do the English ones early because of the strikes.

Good morning Busy. I have been working on my cards too as the postal strikes are going to be a real nuisance. I would like to get all my cards, in a post box at least, out on 1st December. I have several birthdays also next month. I want to get all my 'old' stamps used up.
Sorry Busy, I meant to say that 21 is too, too young isn't it?

Welcome back @Ladybird4. Hope things get easier sooner rather than later though I think we all sadly know that grief is a tricky one and can catch us unawares.Β
My cat also loves to climb the tree I have to tie it to the wall and so many ornaments have been broken by him. He weighs a ton and is so naughty good job he is pretty!Β
You are all so organised with your Christmas cards I don’t write mine until the tree is up and I can play my Christmas music. I seem to post less every year but with the price of stamps that’s probably a good thing.Β
