Debs, manic week is behind you, hope next one will be easier. Enjoy Christmas shopping.
Cold, windy morning. I was out, and it's not very pleasant, but bird feeder must be refiled. Nothing special in today's plans, only one lovely job. Must take out my Advent wreath with candles. Only four Sundays before Christmas, it came very quickly.
Good morning Debs and all arriving later. Debs, the match last night only confirmed my belief that football is not a game I enjoy. England were very pedestrian and will need to pull out all of the stops to beat Wales. I have made my token 'watch' and won't be wasting my time again.
Well I feel like I have been on a world trip with my breakfast this morning - raspberries from Morocco, blueberries from Peru and banana from Ecuador. Heaven only knows what that carbon footprint will look like!
Hoping to get out into the garden again today. I'll think about that when it gets lighter.
Debs I hope that you have a stress free day at work.
@Red maple, no need to worry, we have all become very adept at translating 'text speak' and we have had some beauties through the years!

Describe of your breakfast made me laugh. π I must agree with you, this world cup is almost impossible to watch. Hope it's not too cold for gardening.
Good morning Ante. You snuckered in there. You have just reminded me that one of my bird feeders needs refilling too. It only lasts for about 2 days after refilling so its a regular task. I can't believe we will be in December this week.

Debs enjoy your Christmas shopping. I hope work is pleasant for you today . Ante gosh Advent Wreath time has come round so quick.Looking forward to seeing it again .LB enjoy your gardening ,donβt work too hard .It very cold and misty here . If the mist clears I will go in the garden for a little while .
Morning all. Ante, I, too, love your Christmas Wreath and the lighting of the candles. It's almost like our tradition now.π For those of you venturing outside today, wrap up warm, it's freezing......... I thought I wasΒ coming down with a cold or something last night, I had a runny nose and a very dry mouth, so thought I had finally succumbed to catching some virus. However, touch wood, this morning all seems normal, so fingers crossed I'll be ok. A very easy quiet day planned here, after yesterday, might wrap some more Christmas presents. I have ( not very subtly) brought the box of christmas cards down and put them on the table, along with the address book, for OH to make a start π€Β
Hazel, enjoy wrapping Christmas presents. Here also became very cold. It was good this morning, but now is much worse. I'm very flattered that my Advent Wreath became our little tradition here, thank you.Β Β Β
Good afternoon, Youve reminded me to look out my advent wreath and candles,@Ante1 ready to put on the table tomorrow. I know where they are, so will go and seek them out once Iβve posted. You are right, it has suddenly crept up in us, hasnβt it?Β
Iβd better write the cards I intend posting tomorrow otherwise they might not get to where they are meant to before Christmas with all the postal strike dates looming. Luckily, quite a few do not need to be posted and Iβm cutting back a bit on those that I usually send in the post, too. Right, Iβd better go and look for my Advent wreath.
I've spent a lot of the day writing Christmas cards, the ones destined for the UK. I have a big family, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too. I hope I have enough cards. They are expensive here and I had to leave some in Norfolk as they wouldn't fit into my Ryanair bag. Not finished yet.
I did some minor fence repairs and OH mowed leaves. Sunny this afternoon. Also made a prawn and rice salad for the church bring and share lunch tomorrow.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
How many cards has your OH written then Hazel? Hope that the suspected cold has totally disappeared now.
Red maple, did you find your advent wreath? Hope so. Ante always delights us with pictures of his. Then we really know Christmas is coming and it becomes permissible for us to mention that season. Its a definite no no during the rest of the year . Well to us lot anyway.
Busy, I have been doing similar to you. Still seem to have lots to write though. Are you still having a bit of trouble with your fence? Got to keep those dratted deer away from your newly planted roses and geraniums.
