    Good evening to all.

LB, I'm so glad that you had a nice time with Besties.Β

It's raining now, but I had luck and it was dry when we went out for walk. I'm quite tired, so I'm going to make something for dinner and go to the bad. I received email about my deliveries. They are apologizing, but it's black Friday and they must deal with loads of parcels, so I need to wait few more days.Β

Wish you all a goodnight and see you tomorrow.Β

Managed to secure a telephone appointment with a doctor who prescribed me some steroids. Just need to wait for them to kick in now but very grateful to the doctor.
I, too, am signing out. Have a nice evening and sleep well tonight,Β

Glad you got something from the doctor, Hazel. I hope it helps with the pain.

It has rained all day. I started to paint the end wall, last one, in our bedroom. 2nd coat tomorrow. Then I can put the small wardrobe back and move the chest of drawers for the next bit. It's pine panelling so I have to do all the joins with a paint brush.

I made an apple and blackberry pie which went down very well with OH. I found the blackberries in the freezer, left from last year. They were no good this year because of the drought.

Good morning Ruby and all to follow. Another bad night Ruby? How is your OH doing?
Glad you got sorted Hazel. Busy, at least the rain is helping you with watering your new plants. A good time for you to get your painting jobs done as well.

This afternoon I have my re-arranged contact lens appointment and it is bound to pour down. Joy! I need to repot some houseplants that have rapidly out grown their present homes so that will be an undercover job to do this morning.

    Good morning everyone.

What an awful day we have. Rain woke me up around 3am, and it's still battering. An hour ago a huge storm passed over us, and several costal towns are completely flooded. I'm ok, so don't worry. I have short break, and I'm just siting in teachers room and watching thru the window.Β
Hope you all have a better start of the weekend.Β

Morning all. The rain has stopped finally so am hoping it'll stay Β away from a day or two to let the garden dry up a bit. ....not according to the forecast though. Ante, storms aren't nice are they, they scan sound awful but I'm glad to hear you're okay where you are. Hope, your neighbours are all alright too. Plenty of places here are flooded, some of our roads are huge puddles right across them yesterday.Β
Thanskmfor kind wishes, the steroids are working marvellously, I am a lot more comfortable this morning. LB, hope your lens appointment goes ok this afternoon and you get your houseplants re potted, Busy, if you're painting today, take it steadily away.
Rubee, I hope you got back to sleep, no joke when you can't sleep. Take it easy today.

Afternoon all. Well my visit to the optician's was a bit of a waste of time. I saw a third different contact lens person who told me that I could still use my old lenses it was just that Spooksavers have had a major falling out with Bausch & Lomb (other manufacturers available) and they no longer supply clients with their products, therefore do not run the scheme I used to be on. I wear varifocal contact lens which (apparently) most people cannot get on with but I can so cutting a long story short, she advised me to buy online and gave me all necessary details. She told me that this would be far cheaper than buying them from Spooksavers. I need to do research now.
Jack's daughter texted me whilst I was at the Optician's and I did not see or read her text until I got home and after I had rung Jack. Kitty has gone to sleep. It was definitely the kindest thing to do though as she had stopped eating and just lay on her cushion all day. We are all devastated.

Poor little Kitty and poor Jack, but sounds as though there wasn't another option.

I've painted the wall behind the wardrobe, just got the bit of wall behind my bedside table and chest of drawers to paint now.

Has rained with the odd sunny period.

Yes, Busy, it was the kindest thing to do for the little love. Her time to leave had come. I am just so worried for Jack and how this will hit him. Well done by the way! You should have that all that room finished by the end of the weekend.
It has - true to form - tipped it down again here. I've just bought my lenses online and boy are they much cheaper. I have to thank the contact lens person at Spooksavers for that great piece of advice.
