Remembrance Day Lest We Forget At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will rem Remembrance day photos Remembrance day art Remembrance day pictures
Good morning on this Remembrance Sunday.
Hazel, I hope that you have snapped a matchstick for your third 'unfortunate incident', That is twice now you have been burned. Hope the burns aren't too painful.
Gosh Ante, that is a big temperature drop. Bet you will have your furnace lit more often now.
Busy, that rose is so pretty and it will be loved by all the pollinators with it's open faces. I am a Midsomer fan and enjoy all the old episodes with either John Nettles or Neil Dudgeon.

Good morning LB and all to follow.

LB, every evening last few day I lit the furnace. It would be little bit uncomfortable to sit in coldish house.

Sunny and cold morning, with high wind. I'll just pop to SM to buy bread and few more stuff. I would love to go to cottage, but it's cold. We shall see what day will bring.

Wish you all lovely Sunday. Now is time for first cup of tea.ย ย

    Morning all.
Good idea LB, I'll snap a match today and see if that breaks the trend. I've actually burnt my hand three times this week as I caught it one day on the oven shelf as I was taking something out of the oven.ย
It's very murky this morning, damp, completely ย white skies so heating went on. I dread to think how long the heating will be on in the dead of winter. As @Ante1 says, it is too uncomfortable to sit in the cold.
Debs, take it easy now you're home and try and recover. No doubt Lily's TV will be on, that was always my first job when returning from holidays.
@Rubee, how is your OH doing and is Rosie alright? Hope they ( and you of course) are keeping warm and pottering about.

Hazel sorry to read a bout your burns ,do take care .My OH is beginning to feel a bit better . I am pleased to say His legs are responding to the leg wraps and the swelling is going down. The condition is incurable but can be controlled.Rosie is very tired ,she doesnโ€™t sleep very well.Thank you for asking .

Rubee Iโ€™m so pleased to hear your OH legs are responding. I can well imagine how it must feel as my knee sometimes swells up, for no reason and I canโ€™t bend it. It feels as if the skin is stretched into its limit.ย
Please pass my kindest regards to Rosie. Itโ€™s always lovely to see her when she can make it.ย
We are going out later to get a new iron. Tried again this morning with something wrapped round the handle but I can still feel the warmth through it. So itโ€™ll have to be replaced. Great time of year for things to break down. ย

@Rubee pleased to hear your OH is improving.ย
@Songbird-2 you need oven gloves I think though if you are like me you always forget and use a tea towel which is often inadequate!ย
Been having a clear out of a few bits and bobs a lot still to do. What can I do with an unwanted Christmas tree ๐ŸŽ„ย

Debs, re spare tree, do what we are doing with a spare one.....look at it and think, what can I do with that๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚ ( yup, I use the tea towel๐Ÿคญ)

BTW, have noticed some new emoji's on the keyboard. Anyone any ideas what ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ and ๐Ÿซฅ and ๐Ÿซก mean?

Good afternoon all. I've had a lazy sort of a day but as it was so nice I did get Lily's TV on the go and the warm sunshine plus the light breeze managed to get all the wet cloth things dry.
Debs, I hope that your energy levels get back to their usual selves soon. Bad colds can certainly knock the stuffing out of you. I stopped using a tea towel the moment my fingers got a bit too hot when removing something from the oven. Definitely use oven gloves now and I got a gadget in 'sco last week - made of silicone rubber - that hooks over oven shelves and you can pull them out to safely lift cake tins /casserole dishes etc. off the shelves. It is also combined with a pair of mini tongs to remove hot toast/crumpets etc. from toasters. Bargain at 0.50p I thought. You could take your unwanted tree to a charity shop. I'm sure many people would be grateful for a tree at this time of year.
Ruby, that is excellent news about your OH's legs. His comfort must be much improved. Win win all round. I'm sure it must ease your stress too.
Hazel, I have no idea what those actually do. Gifs are files that allow some kind of movement. That is as much as I know. All the moving pics I use on Rez are Gifs.
