Good morning all. I thought I had managed all of my clock and timer changing last night so imagine my surprise when my landing light came on at silly o'clock this morning - I had neglected to alter the little pegs that control the on/off. Lily thought that this was the signal for her to stick a paw on my face, asking for her breakfast. Hey ho. I will get that sorted out today too. Hope you all slept well.
Hazel, I do that with my knitting too - especially if I am knitting a large item. Having another on the go means I don't get too fed up. Sometimes I find knitting on slender needles a bit difficult as well. Fat ones are much easier

Good morning Debs, you snuckered in there. Weather is similar here and at least I can actually see outside now with the hour change. I hated the darker mornings. Still not heard one firework here. Maybe people will be going to organised displays. I know that my friend in Crewe is having a gin and fireworks party at her bungalow for her choir friends - she is providing the gin and as her bungalow is opposite a big park in Crewe where they have an annual display, she and her friends will be able to watch the council display in alcoholic comfort.

Good morning everyone .I havenβt read back ,will do later . Iam a bit bleary eyed after reading for three hours last night .Have a good day everyone .
LB, according few SM where I was last week, Halloween is long gone and it's Christmas Eve. This year they started ridiculous early.
I had a nice and long sleep, just what I needed. The morning is same as last few days, sunny, calm and warm. I enjoy at weather like this, only problem is lack of rain. Now is time for tea.Β
We are going to friends for lunch today, not the ones who came here on Thursday.
We've been tidying the garden, leaf clearing, sweeping the patio etc then lady gardener will come to do the leaves when we go to France. Our garden is surrounded by neighbours trees. A few of them are lovely but some are a pain in the neck, making shade and dropping leaves and seeds.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Raining again here. Ive done it again. Couldn't remember last night whether, our plug in electrical alarm/radio clock automatically adjusted itself, so, to be on the safe side, I did turn it back. Woke up in middle,of night, checked clock, checked my wrist watch Β and yup! Radio/alarm clock had turned itself back so was showing a time of two hours earlierπ¬ Have now put on a note on our 2023 wall calendar to leave it along next year! I am going to try and do some leaf collecting today, Busy. We have the same problem with neighbouring trees.Β Debs, enjoy today and hope you gets lots of callers to admire your display!
Hello Ruby, Ante, Busy and Hazel. Ruby that must be an excellent book you are engrossed in. I am enjoying my latest Jo NesbΓΈ book. Hazel I had to change the clock in my car despite it being set to automatically adjust but when I checked that out it was only set to adjust if I drove into another time zone such as in France.
Its too wet to do anything in the garden so after I've had something to eat I will finish the nativity set.
