Ante, I am not surprised you are tired. I do hope you enjoyed Poirot. I can watch those programmes over and over again and find little new things I have missed seeing before.
I've just watched Repair Shop, I do love that programme and seeing how all those very talented people fix treasures brought in by people. Very moving at times.
I am signing out for tonight. Enjoy the rest of your evenings.

We watched the Repair Shop too. King Charles was on it, but before he was King. I think we have seen all the Poirots. We have been watching All Creatures Great and Small on My 5, love it.

Good morning Ruby. I hope that you are in the land of nod now. Good news that your OH is sleeping well. I am going to make a quick dash to 'sco before going to my Bestie's today - its haircut day, hoorah! I have some birthday cards to post so they are using up some more of my 'old' stamps in the less than 100 days we have left to get them used up.

@Ladybird4 I didn’t realise we had to use up stamps. How very wasteful to have to print new ones, the queen was on the stamps for 70 years a little while longer won’t hurt surely. I have a book of six to finish but thankfully Christmas is coming.
Raining here and it’s my early start at work what fun!Β
Hope you all have a good day and stay dry.Β
@Rubee pleased OH is feeling a bit better.Β

@debs64 we have until the end of January to use them up. In February of this year they brought out the new stamps with the bar code down the side and these are the ones we will have to use. You will be able to exchange 'old stamps' for the new ones in Post Offices.

  • Morning everyone, Very dark here this morning and raining.
Having my haircut this morning, it's gone rather wild. I had to postpone my appointment a couple of weeks ago, so looking forward to getting it cut.Β
@Ladybird4 unfortunately you can't swap stamps at post offices, which is a bit of a pain. You have to pick up a stamp swap form and post them to Royal mail for them to post new ones back to you πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ........ good way to use up more stamps I suppose.
Hope you're all well, take care everyone.

    Morning all.

I was going to say what SG Lily has said about stamps. The postman told OH and gave him a form to fill in and send off with our old stamps. We were sent new stamps in exchange. I couldn't use them for Chistmas cards as we'll be in France.

Friends are, hopefully, coming to dinner tonight. They were going to come on Tuesday but they weren't very well at the weekend.

    I hope Rubee is sleeping.

    Morning all.
Miserable day yesterday, really gusty winds blowing all manner of leaves and bits about the place. OH and tried to prune some stray stems of another clematis but it was hard going. It's our last council collection of green waste this week so want to get as much done as possible to save us having to go to recycle centre.
My back is troubling me this morning, it's really sore. Going to be fun walking around the SM when we get there.
Yes, I, too, had read about the stamp swap. We will just use up the old stamps on Christmas cards postage.
