Morning all early birds. I had some quite disturbing dreams last night ,the type that stay with you for a while after waking. It's been raining during the night and the wind has got up again but the garden is still looking remarkably well considering the time of year. ali think we're in for for some frosts this next week, joy.
Steady away Busy using the new shower head, don't fall. Nice to see you @star gaze lily , hope the poppets are doing well and not picking up all sorts of ailments at school. Don't worry about xmas, I think we all do the same with older members of the families,  money and a little pressy to open and that's it. Who knows what folks want when they have everything?
Debs, have a most wonderful evening with fiancée, and well done for sorting the tree situation out. We haven't got our debs up yet, can't find the motivation yet.

  • Poppets are well thank you @Songbird-2 The girls and their mummy and daddy are coming this afternoon.
@Ante1 the Poppets are certainly important 🥰😉
And yes @Ladybird4 easier to buy for, although they could open up their own toy shop 😁
    @debs64 have a lovely evening.
@Rubee hope your OH is keeping well.

  • Ante I slept well too.  I had a mini pglass of port earlier before bed.  Lily enjoy the visiting.  LB enjoy seeing the relllies, hope it’s clear.  Lily’s to am, just waiting for the last wash.  The sun came out briefly.  Hazel I hope you slept.  Hopeing all feeling under the weather soon feel better.  Have a good day.

Good afternoon all. Rather late posting but had a busier than planned day - after returning from church this morning, OH felt a splash of water on his head in the hallway, and when he looked up, water was dripping through the ceiling. It’s coming from pipework under the bathroom sink, so we’ve had to clear the bathroom so that we could get the Lino up to be able to lift the floorboard to see what the problem was, then mop up the puddle that was collecting on the ceiling and dripping through into the hall. As a consequence we have no heating or water on for now so are relying on the gas fire and an electric heater plus water that we stored in containers until the plumber comes tomorrow- they couldn’t send anyone today. You don’t realise how much you take a water supply and central heating for granted until you don’t have any.
So, we’ve done all we can for now, so I spent the afternoon wrapping up some Christmas presents, but now I’m putting my feet up and may watch Scrooge on the tv later.
We did well with our fundraising at the Christmas fayre yesterday, raising almost £800.
Hope you’re all having a nice afternoon.

    Afternoon all.

Hazel, hope this strange feeling didn't follow you thru whole day. Sometimes I have similar thing. How is 23 today?

I have an easy afternoon. After baking biscuits I read a bit, and now have another cup of tea. My neighbor was in short visit, and now I have rest of the evening to prepare for tomorrow. It's still cold and it's raining. I wonder how long it will last.

Hi Red Maple. Sorry to read about your water problem. Hope it will be fixed tomorrow. It's not easy be with no water and heating at this cold part of the year. Congratulation on raising this amount of money. Take a rest now, you deserve it.

Oh dear @Red maple how horrid to have a leak and no water or central heating at this time of year. At least you've turned the water off before a flood. I once had a flood from a bathroom washbasin in the middle of the night in my old house. The carpets had to be replaced and the room below re-decorated. At least the weather was warm then.

We had an enjoyable lunch with Son 2 and family, then came back for the Advent Carol Service.

Red I can sympathise . It’s such an inconvenience having to turn the water off .I hope the leak will be put right tomorrow. We had a leak from the central heating boiler a couple of years ago .The water came through the dining room ceiling. It made such a mess .
Ante those biscuits look yummy .Just right with a cup of tea.
I have been getting on with my boy doll . The face is the most difficult .
