Hazel, have a nice time with 23 and son. I wonder will he notice Paddington on your shelf.

Red Maple, hope it will not be too cold at church. Maybe this information will warm you a bit; our churches doesn't have heating or cooling system at all, you have what you have.๐Ÿ˜

Bussy, I'm glad that you managed to fins someone who tunes the piano.ย

Rosie, stay warm and enjoy writing Christmas cards.ย

It's almost noon and I'll start to prepare lunch. Noting complicated, something warm and tasty.ย

Busy, your post wasn't there when I posted earlier. Hope the piano makes a good job of the piano. I used to watch our tuner, when I had a piano, it fascinated me and then Imwould get a little serenade at the end, when he'd finished๐Ÿ˜Š He was very good, and he was blind. Remarkable.ย

Had a lovely visit from son and 23, and after ย dinner we settled down and made some Christmas decorations and started building a spaceship with the lego. Poor 23 has a croaky throat today and a bad cough( alerted son to current situation re children getting Strep A and to keep an eye out on him)and was very pale ย but other than that, he was alert enough . He certainly spied the new Paddington Bear and the three little felt animals in the egg carton. He loved them.

Good afternoon all. Had a nice visit this morning with our friend. His daughter was there and they had bought in some sandwiches and cakes for lunch - we felt very spoilt. I am sorry to say that the black chicken (from the three I posted pictures of earlier this year) has passed away. Apparently she just died - no invading fox or raptor. The other two are confined to barracks due to the bird flu. Goodness me but its going dark already!
Ante, those pictures are amazing. One thing about Max - you can't lose him in the snow (think I might have said that before!)
Rosie, I am doing more card writing - I keep finding people I've forgotten!
Red, (I hope that you don't mind my abbreviating your name) I hope that you do not get too chilled at the Fayre and that people are generous.
Busy it must be lovely to have your piano tuned once more. Who is it of the two of you who plays or do you both play?
Hazel you brought back a memory. When I was working we had a blind gentleman who came to tune the pianoes once a year. The children always got excited when he came because he had a beautiful golden retriever guide dog and they all wanted to pat him. Glad you had a wonderful time with 23. I do hope that his croaky throat is temporary but its best to be safe than sorry in keeping a good eye on him over the next few days. That was a horrendous piece of news wasn't it about those little ones who died?

It is awful LB, as we imagine if anything happened to 23 then how would we feel? It's unbearable and I ย feel so very sorry for the parents. Dreadful.

I hope 23 gets better quickly, hopefully it's just a cold.

Glad you had a nice visit, LB. Poor little black chicken.

OH plays the piano, he's happily playing at the moment. He's been learning a new Chopin Nocturne.

I planted the rose from 1st OH's grave in the new Orchard Border. I hope it's happy. Then I weeded a third of the shrub bed and mulched it with the chippings the wood men left me in April 21.

    Evening all.

Hazel, hope 23 soon gets well, and hope it's nothing serious. I'm glad he likes Paddington bear.ย

LB, sandwiches and cakes for lunch sound lovely. Indeed it's quite hard to lose Max in this conditions, but on the black floor tiles and at dark we had a few incidents.ย

I came from my neighbor few moments ago. We had a nice chat and few drinks. I even managed to see GW winter special. Now is time for dinner, and cup of tea before bed.ย  ย

Busy, it must be lovely listening to the piano being played (in tune) again. I would find it most relaxing.
Ante, I'm pleased that you have managed to catch up on GW Winter Special. Enjoy your dinner and cup of tea. Don't trip over Max in the dark!

  • Hazel Hazel I wish 23 a speedy recovery. ย Ante youโ€™ll sleep tonight after your visiting. ย LB Iโ€™m having an early night, just lounging on the bed at the moment though. ย Sleep well everyone.
