Morning Ruby. Sorry to hear that your OH has had another uncomfortable night. Try not to do too much gardening and get a bit of rest today.

Good morning Rubee, LB and all to follow.

Rubee, sorry to hear about your OH uncomfortable night. Hope you both will have restful day.

I came from SM. It's still raining and I wanted to avoid crowd. Now I can have an easy day. Can't believe it's already October.

Good morning Ante. I wonder where this year has gone! October already - its scary how time seems to pass by so quickly. Have a nice day Ante and enjoy your weekend.

Good morning. It's cold here too, Rubee, we have a bit of condensation on some windows this morning brrrr. Popped heating on as son and 23 coming down for a visit in a little while.
Im sorry to hear your OH wasn't very good during the night. Don't overdo things today and catch some sleep if you can.
Hope @star gaze lily is doing okay and hope @Chivetalking is going along ok. ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ‘‹ to them both.
@Ante, what rotten weather you're having, one extreme to the other and so sad to hear that someone has passed away with the flooding, dreadful. The global weather patterns are definitely on the change now.
I was very interested to watch ย GW last night and seeing the chap with drought tolerant plants. I took down a few names of a few plants to keep an eye out for. They would suit our sunny border very well.
OH has his covid booster this afternoon. He's going to ask if I can have one as well, rather than waiting another week to come back to the same place( which is a way away from here).ย

    Morning all.

Wet, grey and windy. The stove is lit.

I was just out of the shower when the electrician rang to say he'd be round in 2 minutes. Got dressed in record time! Still had wet hair. He explained what he'd done about the lighting in the kitchen. I'd found out most of it except for the light over the stove.

I'm going to Son 2's this afternoon to babysit until midday tomorrow. They have 5 little onesย ย

I haven't watched Gardeners World yet. Maybe I'll watch it while I do something with a hot flat thing.

Good afternoon all. Hazel, you will be having a lovely visit from 23 now. i wonder if you will be building any forts today? I hope that you do manage to get your vaccination to save you both another journey. When Jack was taken by his daughter to get his, she asked if she could have hers also and they said it was no problem and she got sorted there and then.
Busy, that was a bit of a shock to the system - at least he did give you telephone warning! You will have your hands full with 5 little people. You will be glad to get home for a rest.

Son, step daughter and 23 flew in and flew out after much playing with lego, toy motor bikes and remote controlled dinosaur๐Ÿ˜Šย
I've since been potting on some more foxgloves, ( I need to plant some out ย in the ground but little room left) and planted out, in a large pot, some spare daffodil bulbs we have. I still need to plant out the heuchera Apple Crisp as it's done ever so well since it's rescue and will be ok in the ground I think.ย
LB, ย I do ย hope I can have the jab today, it will save a lot of time etc.We plan to visit mum next Sunday for a while, so want to get any side effects well out of the way, before then, if I can. If not, I'll have to go along with whatever comes.
Busy Lizzie, oh my goodness, looking after 23 is hard enough, 5x23, eek!๐Ÿ˜ฌGood luck. You will be glad of a rest thereafter.

Evening all. It's been a rather nice day here and I've just had a couple more hours outside cutting back the shrubs for the fencing guys (except they may not come this week now - over running on another job ๐Ÿ™„). The garden is looking a bit bare down that side but it's a job I would have done anyway in January - it's just a bit early for the winter look.

Lots of weedlings in the driveway and the grass is ready for a cut now that we've had a couple of showery days. Not complaining - it'll all get dealt with eventually. Really need it to keep raining every other day for the next 6 months!

Ante - you've had to endure some dreadful weather this year - let's hope it settles down soon.

Busy - I'm sure you're having fun but I bet you'll be ready for bed tonight!

LB - countdown now for your hols. How long are you going for?

Managed to get my booster jab with OH๐Ÿ‘ Poor OH got a "jabber", the woman just jabbed it straight in his arm, not carefully or gently, so he was a bit grumpy after as it started to ache. All's well now though. We now have a week to get over any side effects.
Topbird, long may the rain reign๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Good evening to all.

T'bird, it's nice that you spent few hours in the garden.

Hazel, I'm glad that you had booster today.

Rain finaly stoped and it's lovely evening. I made apple strudel, and it's delicious with my tea. Now is time for tv or book. I'm watching old Christine's garden episodes. I love them very much, so pleasant and quality show.
