I put the obelisk together but one of the curved bits at the top won't fit properly. I put it in the rose bed and wound the rose around it, then realised it wasn't quite central. It will have to stay like that until rose pruning time.
I only use a 10.5 tog duvet in the middle of winter. I use a 4 tog in spring and autumn and either a sheet or a quilted bedspread over the sheet in summer. It was down to 5° the other night so I had the 4 tog with the bedspread on it. OH throws a leg out like LB but I would feel uneven, leg too cold and the rest of me too hot.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The forecast hasn't changed so the heavens will be open this afternoon. Tee off time of 3.30pm will be the peak of the deluge I wouldn't mind but the weather has been largely glorious Mon-Thurs this week. We'll wait until the last minute but feel fairly sure that we'll be wimping out.
We've got OH's car back home and booked in for a service. AA man wasn't 100% sure of what the problem was but has e-mailed the diagnostics report, which hopefully will provide the garage with an idea of what the service might include.
Good morning all. Flipping heck @Biglad that CA has a lot to answer for! It is obviously your golf game that has changed the weather for today! Rather concerning that your OH's car is defying the knowledge of the AA man. Whatever the outcome it sounds like lots of pennies to me!
Shame to hear the obelisk is a little wonky Busy. Once the rose flourishes next season you probably won't be able to see it.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning everyone .Big Lad I do hope your weather behaves an you can a have a good afternoon.Time for a cuppa .I bet LB is already on her second cup.
Good morning Ruby. Have you been peeking? I was on my second cup then. The council grass mowers are disturbing the peace outside mowing the area of grass in front of our 6 houses here.
I had a phone call from the practice nurse late yesterday but to be honest I am still none the wiser as to what it all means. She didn't appear to be unduly concerned and told me that she was passing on my results to the Doc. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the Doc says - if anything. Ain't growing old fun?
Yvie, Maybe I should go to fat club but I'm pleased to say that as of today I have lost a stone and a half since May when I decided I needed to get rid of my 'lockdown weight'. Still got a way to go until I am at my fighting weight but I'll get there.

Hello all, spending the day with fiancé delivering a fridge trailer and then helping him pack for his wedding tomorrow. Proper misty autumnal weather here but the colours on the trees are glorious.
Back to work on Monday not having achieved very much but at least I have had a good rest.
Morning Debs. Yes indeed, the important thing is that you have been able to recharge your batteries and as you have mentioned before, the wedding season is starting to slow down now so your fiancé will be less overburdened and may be able to unwind a little more himself.

A very rainy day today. Alfie has a new cat bed which he’s not quite sure about yet, further examinations required, cats are very particular. I hope you all slept. LB hope you are able to rest. Lily I hope your oh is improving. Take care everyone.

There are no togs in the CA
