Goodness me LB! That's terrible about the burglary. Your poor neighbours, they will be in shock at it all. I've seen doors where people try to jimmy them open, it's pretty damaging. I hope she can get the doors repaired PDQ and that the police can find the culprits.( it's very good to hear that they went round quickly).  As we near C****t**s though, this type of thing can escalate, awful. Be extra careful LB,now, thank goodness for the shrubs and blocking ways in and out acting as a deterrent, but be extra vigilant now.
Had my hair cut yesterday and OH went to local recycling centre with all the grass we had lifted. Today the sun has come out so have got some material blowing around merrily. Hope it's dries.
I am now on a new quest for 23. We had bought a lovely little gnome form a shop near mum’s when we visited. We have a tiny shelf in the kitchen where I put " little things"- they amuse 23. I also had a small X***s gnome in a wardrobe.( They're only about 2-3 inches tall).  23 found both and then, off he went, looking " for their family" to put them together. I have, since then, bought a couple more, now, which have gone on the kitchen  shelf.Today I picked  one up which was on ski's !! Can't wait to see what 23 thinks of the new family, additions. I'll carry on until,we have a decent " family" of wee gnomes........😊
Ante, glad to hear little cat is doing so  well and I'm very impressed you've been able to give her her injections. Not sure I could have done that.....
Off for a rest now, have started a new knitted baby blanket.

@Songbird-2 the gnomes sound like great fun.
Work was easy but I cut open my thumb popping tablets so don’t want to risk an afternoon peeling onions to pickle.
Got ingredients for Christmas cake now will bake early next week.
@Ladybird4 that’s worrying about burglars in the area as others have said be vigilant.

LB ,do take care that is very worrying .Debs sorry to read that you have cut yourself. Not a good idea to prepare onions until  your thumb has healed . Hazel your little gnome family sound delightful .My OH had his corona  virus injections yesterday . He has been poorly since ,raised temperature aches and pains and tummy upset . I hope it settles down soon .

Debs, ouch! i can imagine that may feel like a paper cut, nothing much to see but hurts like ......I certainly wouldn't be peeling onions either😬
Rubee, hope your OH starts to feel a bit better pretty soon. OH and I had some side effects from the jabs too, this time round, Took a couple of days to get over the worse so hopefully he will feel ok soon. Day at a time.

Hazel, I love the sounds of your tiny gnomes. I had a set that i got from my Bestie for when we built the fairy houses and they were only about 2.5cm (an inch in old money) high. They are very cute. Getting my hair cut next Thursday - its ready for it too.
Debs, anything to do with cut thumbs/fingers and pickles is quite an eye watering thought. Boy would that sting!
Ruby, I am so sorry to hear that your OH has had a bad reaction to his Covid jab. As Hazel says, I hope that he recovers in a couple of days.
I am going to say goodnight to you all and I'll see you tomorrow.

Evening all. Been busy plotting and planning for our hols. We were going to Cambridge today as a birthday-eve treat but my back wasn't playing balkfor several hours of standing round. Too many hours on my feet decorating, gardening, preserving, cooking etc over the last few days. Will go another day instead.

Had nice f&c for dinner but looking forward to OH cooking a full roast tomorrow...

LB - sorry to hear about the attempted burglary - disconcerting for all concerned. Hopefully that's it and they won't be back.
Also sorry to hear about Jack - hope he's OK.

Debs - such a good idea to recycle clothes like that. I am so in favour of reusing / recycling things in general but it is especially good to know the items might be used to help those who want to retain their self respect and contribute to our society. We should be helping everyone who wants to work to achieve that end.

Ante - good to hear your little cat is on the mend. We have a family of 3 young kittens and mum (presumably ferals) in the village who seem to have become separated (odd kittens in different houses). I'm seriously tempted to offer one a home...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

LB, Jack sounds like my mum in as much as she is now sleeping a lot during the day( rather than being in bed)....just little cat naps but they are very frequent, bless her. Parenting in reverse and all the worries that comes along with that.
Signing out for today. Tonight has rather got away from me, I thought it was only about nine o'clock!😬 Goodnight all.

Sorry to hear about your bad back T'Bird. Enjoy your birthday by spoiling yourself and taking it easy before your trip to Germany.
Speaking of knitting Hazel, I have been knitting a nativity set for a lady at the foodbank. Tidied it away before going on holiday and now I'm not quite sure where I have put what I've done so far, so today could be a big hunt day.

It will be another day for stay in with book or tv. It's raining, but still quite warm. I can also plant tulip bulbs in the pots. We shall see, tea first.
