Rubee - you & your OH must be exhausted. I also hope his slow release meds start to kick in soon.
I have some admin stuff to attend to this morning and then I'll cut the grass. My compost bin has had as much put into in this last 2 weeks as it had all summer (very little green stuff due to the drought). Not too sure how much compost will be available for mulching in spring - may need to buy some in😕
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Afties all. Bush, I hope, by now, you've landed safely home in the UK. OH and I are both still feeling fatigued after our jabs, the energy levels have really dropped odd these last two days. Let's hope tomorrow will be better. Im starting to ( try) and gather some bits and pieces together to take to mums including a very old small chest of drawers which were my great-grandmothers. Unfortunately, we don't have room in our house so plan to return them to mums, where they came from. Toobird, hope you're getting / you've got to grips with your admin stuff and managed to get the lawn cut. Ours seem to be on a growth spurt at the moment. Rubee, you are having it rough at the moment, I,too, hope those slow release meds start kicking in soon. Take care.
I'm back in Norfolk. OH made cheese on toast for lunch and has bought a chicken and leek pie for dinner. There are 2 chocolate oranges and 3 packets of chocolate Hobnobs in the larder. I won't be losing any weight!
I've watched Escape to the Country, Cornwall, and had a snooze.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good evening all. I had a surprise about an hour ago, knock on the door, chap in high viz jacket.
'I've come to read your meters.' Hello! I sent my readings in on 29th. He was a great chap and we had a good laugh. Apparently he gets this everywhere he goes. That is the first time in 25 years I have had someone read my meters. At least I know that there won't be too much difference between my readings and his of today.
Debs, that is such a kind thing for your fiancé to have said. I've never watched The Crown so am not really understanding your comment but can make a rough guess.
Welcome home Busy. It must be lovely to be back together again. Enjoy your chocolate!
Hazel, well done for organisation. You must be looking forward to your upcoming visit.
I have dusted off the brain cells ready for Quiz night tonight.I am going to sign out for today so enjoy your evenings all of you.

@Ladybird4 i think it’s been said often that Charles resented the attention and adulation Diana received, not sure if it’s true obviously. My Fiancé is a quiet man who prefers a conversation one person at a time whereas I love to play to an audience , adore being the centre of attention and I know that annoys some so it’s nice to be appreciated for the person I am. I always think it doesn’t matter what little faults you have if you can find someone who sees them as virtues.
Bet you are so excited about your holiday not long now, was that the reason for the hot metal activity?
I was at cottage yesterday after school and came home late. It was lovely day and I finished with digging potatoes. Today is going to rain again. I have my first cup of tea and slightly prepare for school.
Good morning Ante and all arriving later. I'll join you in a cup of tea. Good that you had that day to get your potatoes dug. I was listening to the radio yesterday and a farmer was saying that becauseof the very dry weather we had earlier this year potato crops are down from 25% to 40% on last year's figures and the potatoes are smaller than usual. With rising energy bills it is costing them so much more and that costing will be passed on to customers.
Debs, yes, I am really looking forward to my holiday now - just hoping everything goes smoothly. I'm pleased I am an early riser as I will be leaving home before the sparrows are up next Tuesday.

Thanks @debs64. That was a lovely thing for your fiance to say. My father said the same about my mother and they were happily married until the end.
I should be in Norfolk with OH by lunchtime.
Safe journey BL.
