Good morning all. Your post about the persistent rain had resonance with me Biglad as it pretty much tipped it down all afternoon here. The windows are misted up on the outside today only broken up by slug/snail tracks. When I was at college the blood bank people descended on us and I went to donate but they wouldn't take mine as I wasn't heavy enough - bet I am now! I haven't tried since. I was fascinated to read you were Rh- Ruby. I am blood type A Rh+ so pretty common. (Don't even dare Biglad!!!!)

Busy, I have a pot of chives which probably need the same treatment as yours. Hopefully, I can get some gardening done today - even if it is just repotting stuff in the garage.

Good morning all. Dry here now but on nanny duties all day hoping to get a bit of tidying up in the garden done before I go to my daughters. Hope you can get some gardening done @Ladybird4
Good morning everyone . Up early today .We are expecting a stairlift this morning. We ordered it last week .OH is having problems getting upstairs. We bought it through Age Concern, Longer guarantee than all the people we approached .
Morning everyone,Β Looks rather dull outside this morning. Supposed to absolutely pour down this afternoon. Completely different from yesterday.Β Might do some clothes sorting for the charity shop. Keep putting it off.Β Sorry to hear @Rubee that your OH is having difficulty using the stairs. Hope the stair lift installation goes well.
Debs, you will have a fun day today by the sounds of it - bet you will be tired out tonight though!
Ruby, I hope that the stairlift is fitted without too much disruption and mess. It should make things so much easier for your OH. I wonder what the cats will make of it! I can just imagine them having sneaky rides!

Good morning SGL - you weren't there when I posted. I was pleasantly surprised to get an email from the Sue Ryder shop near my Bestie - where I take my stuff now - saying that the kitchen stuff I took in a week ago had already sold and raised Β£9.75. They can then claim back some as I'm a tax payer - no idea how all that works but I'm glad I signed up with them. This is giving me the incentive to carry on decluttering

Morning all. We're in a stellplatz (motorhome overnight parking) attached to a sauna / thermal baths and we'll be spending most of the day reading, lounging, dipping in and out of warm salty pools and sitting in hot boxes - lovely!
Rubee - hope the chair fitting goes ok. It made a huge difference when a friend had one fitted. He'd reached the point when he almost had to decide to spend the day upstairs (bed & shower) or downstairs (comfy chair & kitchen). He had spent many nights Γ la Big Lad in the CA.
@Biglad - I gave blood for about 35 years (got up to my silver badge) but was advised to stop in my mid 50's. All that wimmin's stuff meant my blood often wasn't quite up to par when they did the droplet test so (in the last couple of years) was rejected more times than accepted. Final straw was when I'd given a pint & was having a nice hot cup of tea afterwards. Had a hot flush when there wasn't quite enough blood to go round and fainted quite spectacularly (so I was told).Β
I was advised to go away for a few years to let things settle down and I've never quite got round to going back - maybe I should.
I had few complaints about how things were handled other than they started serving mini pacs of boring biscuits instead of a generous plateful where you could pick out the Jammy Dodgers. Β The ouch factor of the dreaded fingerprick test also definitely depended on who was doing it - more training needed there!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Good morning T'Bird. Just take it easy with all those warm 'dippings' We don't want you coming home like salted beef! Seriously, it sounds just wonderful - so relaxing. Hot boxes? Never experienced one but maybe it explains why cats like boxes so much!

@Ladybird4 We don't have a Sue Ryder charity shop close enough to take things there, otherwise I would. But I either i take things to Cancer research or the Heart foundation.Β Really must sort things out clothes wise and also go through the Xmas decs π @Topbird your day sounds more like me....Saunas, hot pools and reading. Have a lovely day.Β
