I love the Ann Cleeve books too the Vera ones are my favourites so I will look out for the new one thanks for the heads up @Ladybird4
Happy Anniversary to @Topbird and OH. Enjoy your trip!
Jam is easy to be honest though I need to pass it as Fiance doesn’t like seeds. It’s only a kilogram of fruit, a while ago I made plum jam with 12kgs of plums that’s a lot of jam! I have been promised some damsons soon once they ripen. Must get more jars.

Mmmmm Debs, I wonder why Damson Gin crept into my mind then?

  • Biglad I’m rather stubborn too.  Lily rather overcast here, hoping and waiting for sunnier days.  Hazel so pleased you’re back messaging again.  LB Alfie’s fast asleep by my side.  He’s been rather busy exploring.

Maybe I will look into Damson gin. Might be interesting to try. Elderberry syrup is supposedly very good for you so will be fun to make.
Carpet is now shampooed I can’t believe how much better it looks. Back room is tidy jam is made and garden is a little better. Lots still to do out there.

Hello there Rosie. Good to see you. Lily spends nearly all day cuddled up asleep. I daren't sit down or she will just want to get onto one or other of my legs - whichever is the nearest and go to sleep.
Well done Debs for getting the tasks done and finished. By the way, that new Vera book is called The Rising Tide.

I wish I had your energy Debs. I feel like a wet blanket today, gardening urge has completely disappeared. I have a cough, runny nose and aching joints, no fever. Probably a cold. Sorry for the moan.

@Busy-Lizzie not energy so much as limited time and a long list of stuff to do. I so rarely have fiancé around to move furniture etc so must make the most of him being home and not too tired.
Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly keep warm lots of fluids and a comfortable bed. Hope you feel better soon.
@Ladybird4 I will look out for that. Thank you

Oh dear Busy. Perhaps you have been doing a bit too much. Sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit one degree under. Rest, lots of drinks as Debs advises and let it work its way out of your system.
I am signing out for tonight, got to get my brain in gear ready for O.C. and Uni Chall. I have missed those two programmes! See you all in the morning. Enjoy your evenings.

Evening everyone. We've made it to Delft where we're overnighting before heading down to Heidelberg in Germany tomorrow.
It's feeling quite cool this evening and I'm beginning to wonder if I've brought enough warmer clothing. It's been so hot at home that I've been living in shorts and T-shirt and sleeping with just a sheet over for weeks now. Sort of assumed it would be the same here.

Debs - We don't eatmuch jam so making refreshing raspberry sorbet is my go-to way of using excess rapberries
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

@Topbird if you had been at home today it would have been much cooler  :) Enjoy your hols.
