@Dovefromabove I agree completely. I smile when I see the titchy cups and saucers in antique shops - my friend from Crewe, with much disdain, calls them 'dolly cups'.
@Busy-Lizzie, I have your birthday down on my calendar. It will seem 'home from home' going to the French restaurant today. Have a wonderful and early celebration.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
@Rubee I meant to ask, how are you finding the stairlift? Rosie mentioned that, amid many giggles, she had taken a ride on it. Have the cats investigated it yet? It will really help your OH in getting about.

Lily hope the antibiotics work well for oh and he soon is improving. LB hope the BP monitor isn’t too cumbersome and things settle down. Hazel hope the heuchera and penstemon settle in nicely. The temperature has really dropped today. I’ll need to get out a warmer coat, definitely autumnal with a chill in the air already. Busy enjoy lunch today.
LB I hope your BP monitor is not too cumbersome . My OH had one fitted last year .It didn’t wake him during the night but I was aware of .He said it wasn’t a problem for him .
Another decent-looking day here. I've dug out two of the four (I think!) remaining unused planters from the shed. Finished painting them yesterday and plan to line them and affix the 'legs' today. Mission Clear Shed is back on I'm going to fill one with strawberries and the other with herbs.
LB the cats make a hasty retreat when they hear the gentle noise that the lift makes. They stay as far away from the lift as they can . I have used the lift once just to try it out .
I remember Ma was once stuck on the stair lift halfway up when something went wrong and there was no one in the house ... bless her she sat there until Pa came home and thankfully it wasn't too long ... but after that she always made sure she had one of the house phones in her pocket before using it.

Turned out to be a lovely sunny afternoon. I've been out in the garden picking up more acorns and also doing some weeding. Why do they grow so quickly since 🤦♀️ @Busy-Lizzie hope you had a lovely day and enjoyed your special lunch. @wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 OH is feeling a little better, but is still quite wheezy. Hoping the antibiotics work this time.
LB, I love talk about weather, nagging mostly 😉. I have one more habit which is connected with British people, it's tea. In Croatia when you order tea at cafe they will ask you are you ill or something. People here drink coffee whole day.
One more day and it's weekend. It's raining whole day but I don't mind. Tomorrow after school, I must go to nearby city to shopping, but I'll survive. There is no more huge crowd caused by tourists. I found little surprise in my mailbox. Last week I one book on ebay from UK and it arrived in only seven days. It was quite fast, and costet only 10₤ with delivery.
