Morning Hazel. I hope some of them will come back next year, but I'll for sure have place to plant.

Rubee, I'm very sorry to hear about your OH. Take a rest both of you, and Rosie.

  • Morning all.  LB glad your car is sorted and save me some cake.Bright sunshine again and rather cold, popped a more substantial coat on.  Alfie’s been as good as gold bless him, all fed, watered and asking for dreamies which he enjoyed.  He’s laying next to me presently.  Ante all good wishes to you and your lovely pets.  I’m just enjoying part of a sourdough baguette and a lovely cup of tea.  Lily hope you and oh slept and the antibiotics are taking effect.

    Lovely picture @Ante1...
@wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1,Rosie, I've started wearing a slightly thicker coat now, too. Bought some lovely new gloves at a garden centre the other day, it may be time for them soon too.
OH and I felt rotten yesterday after our flu jabs. Never felt fatigue like it( unless poorly of course) , never had any reaction before but we were both the same. Aching  too. However, this morning seems better for us, thankfully and perhaps we will get something done today .

    Morning all,

The weather is stunning again here - I've had an hour mooching in the peace, quiet and sunshine. Picked some blackberries to put on my breakfast. The choice of soft fruits is shrinking somewhat though!

Sorry to hear about your storm @Ante1. Fingers crossed that the damage is just superficial and that all the plants can recover.

Back out for more shed emptying later. Haven't fallen asleep in there yet but once there is enough room....

Morning everyone.  Quite enjoying the cooler temperatures after Turkey but I'm sure I'll be complaining when it gets really cold.
I should get out into the garden but still feeling a bit tired after the horrible flight home so it might not happen.  Everything is OK out there, thanks to Bestie, so it can wait a bit longer for some TLC.
Spent yesterday visiting Secondborn and the boys.  It was lovely to see them and get lots of cuddles.  Think she is glad we are back as she struggles a bit on her own when we are not there to help.
Off to see Firstborn and the girls tomorrow.
    Have a good day everyone.

Hello everyone. I just had to pop into town to pick up a new pair of trainers. They didn't have them in my size when I went to the shop the other day so ordered them in for me. I added some more road miles to my bus pass!
The flower on today's pic is Epiphyllum oxypetalum or Queen of the Night. It gets that name because that is when it flowers and the flowers are gone by dawn.
Ante, that storm sounds horrendous so I'm pleased everything seemed fine at the cottage but its a shame about your garden at home.
Hazel, its interesting you mention about gloves as I cannot abide having cold hands when summer is over - I was wishing I had mine on today. Note to self - get them hunted out now!
Yvie, it will be lovely catching up with the family now you are back from your holiday.

  • Hazel glad you’re both feeling a little better today after your flu jabs.  I think I’ll search for gloves too.  LB it’s good you could collect, hope they’re very comfortable.  Sun still shining.
