Morning all. Chilly start to the day here, winter duvet gone on now and we " tested" the heating yesterday, just to make sure it's still working๐Ÿซฃ....it does.
Spent yesterday watching the Queens funeral, I thought it was really lovely and so many folks came out in support of her and her family. Wonderful to see. I thought King Charles held on very well even at the very end.
Afterwards I sifted out some old compost which had small stones in it, and then mulched some plants with remaining stuff.
I hope ย your work is okay this week @Ante1 and that the weather is normal.
Hope @debs64 is enjoying her break away.
Sorry to hear about your friend and grandson @Yviestevie, I hope they both recover well.
Need another cuppa now. Catch you later.ย
  • Thank you @Ladybird4 and @Songbird-2 for your birthday wishes. ๐Ÿ˜˜

  • It's certainly getting chilly in the evenings. Haven't put our heating on yet, perhaps we should test ours too.ย  ย King Charles certainly looked distraught yesterday. Hope he can have a restful few days, can't believe how much he's done this week apart from grieving his Mother.ย
  • @Ladybird4 sorry meant to ask how you are feeling after your vaccine.

SGL, my arm was a bit stiff and sore after both vaccinations for a while but nothing major. i just ignored it and it went away. Fully over it now. I think I've mentioned before that I don't really have any bad reactions after vaccinations, probably due to having had more needles stuck in me than a pincushion, travelling to foreign fields with Dad in the RAF. Thank you for asking though. x
I've 'tested' my heating twice. Sunday and Monday mornings, just for an hour you understand There was no way I was going to get out of my shower to a cold bathroom. It was warmer this morning so no need for the heating boost.
I, too, hope that the King and the Royal family can now grieve in peace and out of the public eye and remember all the wonderful, happy times we have been privileged to have brief glimpses of through this sad time.
p.s. thank you SGL, you reminded me that I had to cancel my flu vaccination that was booked for next Saturday!

Good to hear you've had no adverse reaction to your jabs LB. We've got our covid booster booked for early October so fingers crossed there.
I, too, hope the whole of the Royal family can privately grieve in peace now. They've all had such a hectic week but they've managed exceptionally well I think.
@Rubee, I hope your ย OH may have had a better night last night, easier said than done though, I know.

  • Glad you're ok after your vaccine LB.ย
Which one did you have? .....not that you can choose.
I've looked on covid thread and quite a few have felt poorly.
