Anti,   If we had snow like that in this country they’d close the roads and send the children home from school.

Good morning all. Mad day here. Covid vaccination at lunch time then off down to Sis and BIL's in St. Helens for a family BBQ. Youngest Sis, her OH and one of their daughters are coming down from Newton Aycliffe in Durham to join us. Not seen them since Handy Brother and I went up to Ambleside to join them for a day out. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Ante, I could not BELIEVE your pictures of the snow! That is scary so early in the late Summer/beginnings of Autumn but maybe that is not unusual for your situation? It is not looking like very good BBQ weather here. Fingers crossed we don't get any rain.
p.s. I forgot to say that a magnificent skein of geese flew over my house and garden yesterday. A wonderful sight and sound!

Good morning LB and all to follow.

LB, I hope that you will manage to do all from your overcrowded schedule. Enjoy BBQ. Snow at this time is very unusual, and to be even worse, next week will be again warm. This year is completely mad.

Lyn, here is similar situation. When I was pupil, we liked go to school at snow and play around. Now when I work at school, I love no working snow day. But it's extremely rare last ten years.

If you come here, and see how sunny and peaceful is outside, you wouldn't believe me about storm last two days. It's quite chilly, but it's all. After tea I have appointment with broom and garden shears because from garden is in huge mess.

    Wish you all lovely Sunday.

Good morning all. Very tired after an 11hour shift yesterday but wedding went well.
Last barbecue of the summer here today got family coming so need to get up and tidy the patio. Lots of empty pots now after my cull of the tatty annuals but there are a few plants going strong still.
We are off to Yorkshire tomorrow for a whole week I just can’t wait. It hasn’t been an easy year. I know lots on here are struggling or have been but you all stay cheerful bless you all.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Morning all.  LB have a lovely time with your family at the bbq.  Ante lovely pictures of snowy weather.  Hazel and oh I’m wrapped in a big Sherpa throw hope you’re well rested.  Lily I hope oh is feeling a little better.  A cold day but sunny.  Breaking down a cardboard box which seemed rather substantial.  Time for tea.  Enjoy your day everyone.  Need to bake some bread am.
    Best wishes Rosie.

    Morning all,

I've just dispersed 8 sheep that had decided to dine in the front garden. They then moved to a neighbour over the road. Definitely an upgrade for their taste buds. Their front garden is immaculate, so I moved them on from there as well. I'm a bit creaky this morning so didn't fancy chasing them all the way up the hill. I'll let somebody further up the street take over shepherding duties ;)

Bit nippier this morning but looks set to be a fine, dullish day. The shed will be emptier by nightfall.

    Hello all.

Think I may not have posted yesterday. We were out in the morning, at Dove from Above's for coffee, then OH was on the computer in the afternoon. We had a good chat with Dove and a good look around her garden. Her veg area is very productive.

What a contrast with your weather @Ante, from extreme heat to extreme cold. It's quite chilly here today, heating is on.

OH is busily raking up the brown grass that the blackbirds have been pecking up and he's re-sowing. I'm feeling tired and knee aches. He rarely complains about his hip which is much worse than my knee.
