@punkdoc, Ā  I suppose, as a doctor you’ve tried the easy remedies, Ā menthol crystals is very good for sinus problems, my son suffered a lot when he was a small child, doctor would leave a repeat prescription for him, Ā then we had a new doctor who said these sprays and drops just make it worse in the long run. Ā Menthol crystals worked much better.Ā

Thanks @Lyn. Yes I have tried most things, but as before nothing is working. I have had surgery twice before, really don't want it again, plus I expect the waiting list will probably be longer than my expected lifespan.

@D0rdogne_Damsel You don't want to overstretch yourself to the point of collapse, but on the other hand, the risks we look back at with regret are most often the ones we don't take

Hello all, I feel like I am in a sauna here, such high heat and humidity. Got up early to do the watering, plasterer and electrician are working in the extension and dripping!
Decisions, decisions @D0rdogne_Damsel! Sounds like a wonderful opportunity but yes you would need help in the garden.
Enjoy the hot weather while it lasts (those of you who like it hot of course)!Ā  B)

Hot here, but we got out early and worked in the shady bits of the garden. Finished removing all the weeds growing alongside the pavement, all looks very tidy. I also climbed through the laurel hedge and started on pulling up a big bramble patch which can be seen from the road. It’s on quite a steep slope, but luckily, the roots are shallow, so I can pull up quite substantial lengths with little effort. Got quite a pile of it to run through the shredder this afternoon, plus two empty green bins to fill. I must confess that I really enjoy removing brambles! Almost instant gratification.
Sorry to hear you are still under the weather, Punkdoc. I’m assuming that you’ve tried Olbas Oil, I do find that helpful when my sinuses play up. No chance you have a dead upper tooth contributing to the problem?
Annoyance here that the pollen level is so high that my hay fever tablets can’t cope. OH using the strimmer and the blower round the edges of the grass hasnt helped.

@punkdoc. OH’s brother had the operation, Ā I assume that all they do is open the passages, Ā then they fill up again but even worse? Ā  It didn’t work long for his brother and he didn’t want it done again.Ā

@Lyn they remove some bone, so the sinuses should drain better. It worked well for me, for a few years.
