Ooo er, our sky has turned a very strange yellowy-orange colour which looks ominous but there's a beautiful thick rainbow the opposite side of the house - which isn't coming out in a photo, unfortunately.
Just waiting for the flash, bang wallop - not very keen on storms!!!

We have an amazing red and orange sunset covering the whole of our western sky .,,

That’s what we had five minutes ago … but it was even redder here …it’s sinking into the horizon now …

Yes, the same here and it's getting darker, we're predicted heavy rain at 11 pm tonight, I feel for my roses but the garden does need it.

Great photo of the woodpeckers @Hostafan1
It’s been cold here today. I’m in bed with my socks on. Had a lovely day at firstborns. Mabel is 9 tomorrow and we had a family get together to celebrate. Secondborn came across with the boys and we had a BBQ. We are staying over to watch Mabel open her presents and cards and then we can take the girls to school in the morning.
Secondborn is still very excited about the house. The current owner contacted her and said that as she was downsizing she would have some furniture to sell and that Secondborn was welcome come to pop round and take a look.
    Have a safe trip BL
