I'm with you @raisingirl.  I have now weeded my veg plot twice!  The first time a few weeks ago and then, what with the rain and no time to get on top of everything, again last week.  Immensely satisfying.  And now the cabbages are in and netted and the bean frame is up - with trenches dug with compost inside them, all ready for the beans and sweet peas to go in.
But still plenty of weeding in the borders to keep me going - and our community border also needs a good weeding.

Morning everyone. You’re all making me feel lazy with all your planting and weeding. Im too cold to bother wandering around the garden.   I might have to think about winter planting, but not really bothered. It might be good to clean up the beds and have them ready for spring planting. Maybe later.

I’ve got the weather channel on and I’d really like Tommy, our weather man, to stop talking about the Antarctic blast we are going to get. 😳. It’s bad enough when it arrives without anticipating it.  Grrr.

    Good morning all,

Such a lot going on I've hardly had time or opportunity to pop in. Managed to weed my 'hot bed' yesterday, a bit mercenary in parts, but hoping it will now last the summer, I probably wont get much chance to do it again. Really enjoyed being out there though.

Four celebration cakes booked this weekend, all made, just need to finish the icing today. All different, a unicorn rainbow cake for a little girl of 8, a 6 tier chocolate cake for a 3 year old's party, enough for 70, a 40th wedding anniversary rich fruit cake with royal icing and finally a simple Victoria sponge for a 40 year old, but iced in 'English' style, really not sure what she means so I am leaving that one until last whilst I find inspiration. All that and the restaurant is as busy as ever, I have got a new member of staff and so far so good, and two students returning soon.

Anyway, glad to see you're all ok as far as I could tell. I will try and pop in again soon.

    Good day to all.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
We have a bright and breezy start to the day, but I think it’s going to cloud over … 12C at the moment … I’ll pop to the farm shop this morning … then we’ll be planting out the tomatoes and squashes. 😊
Iced ‘English style’ @D0rdogne_Damsel … could that mean piped buttercream I wonder … or old fashioned glacé icing and some dragées?  Or …. ??? 🤔

Morning all, we had a lovely lunch with friends yesteray, they have almost sold their house and returning to the UK, very sad for us we shall miss them.
Tremendous thunderstorm with hailstones yesterday evening turning to torrential rain, I popped out quickly when it eased off a bit....the cucumbers are shredded, now must go and look at the rest, good job I held back on the deadheading of roses etc, there is double to do now.
Catch up with you all later.

Morning everyone,  bit of a damp start here. Typical, we have a late night & ndns gardeners come early. They don't usually come till mid afternoon.  It was good to get everyone together again, interesting tho ,  just before they all arrived,  my wife said, I'm  not sure how much longer I can do this,  for so many.  We love it but it's a lot of work,  how DD, does so much amazes me. I  think all the lockdowns have had more far reaching effects,  doing so little for 2 years plus, we have slowed down more than we like to admit .

What a lot of cakes @D0rdogne_Damsel - I'm surprised you managed to get some weeding done as well!
Dull and overcast here - but hopefully there will be no rain for today's Jubilee celebrations. We have a large swing band to start things off then we're broadcasting the Party at the Palace live on a giant TV screen!  Overcast will be good for that.
But torrential rain forecast for tomorrow - all those street parties!!!  At least all of the activities organised by The Committee will be over by then. So far they have all gone so much better than expected, with huge turnouts for everything.
