I have returned ...  a bit sore but bearable ... hardly any waiting around ... I was the only one in the waiting room and although I arrived wearing a mask as instructed they asked me to put one of their surgical ones on (think mine was better, being FP3 but ...) and lots of sanitiser available.  That was the last one I'll be 'summoned' to ... from now on I have to book them myself every three years.  I'll put a reminder in my phone, diary and so will OH.   👍

Neighbourly good relations cemented with cake ... sounds very good to me @punkdoc 🍰

Too wet to potter in the garden here @AnniD ... I need boots and a sou'wester to go out and cut a lettuce 🌧

Has it dried up yet over your way @Allotment Boy?

    Hello all.
    Wet here, bit chilly.

What on earth is a chest flattening procedure @Dovefromabove? Oh, think it could be an Xray. Most uncomfortable. Mine was last year.

We overslept. Having a quiet day.

    Good afternoon everyone.

Beautiful day here today with a wee breeze coming off the sea to "cool" the air down a bit.  Nothing but wind and heat this past week.  Managed to weed the veggie garden in the cool of the mornings and walk the dog - before 9.30am!!

Yes @Busy-Lizzie  Amazing hail storms here - a lot of damage to cars, houses and crops.  Again.  Nothing in my area.  Not even a couple of drops!!

At least that is out of the way for a while @Dovefromabove    Mine is due next year.  Every 2 years here until you are 75 - reimbursed, and then you are on your own!!

Enjoy the street parties and get togethers in spite of the weather.  Nice to meet the neighbours once in a while.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Free here for life @tui34 B)  ... the only thing we're responsible for is booking it ourselves (at the usual place) every three years once we're past 70 ... and then remembering to go.

14C here and drizzling ... but it feels more like 4C   ... I've put socks back on.

Yes @Dovefromabove, it's been dry ever since he texted to postpone. I  know they are doing the soffits & facias , which means removing the gutters, but its been dry all day.

Hi Forkers,  Finally, a day in  the garden.  Muggy here but at least it's dry.  I've planted up the remaining pots and hanging basket and got lots of ammi majus, rudbekia, snaps, and cosmos in the garden.  Still have lots left but Bestie is getting a fair few.  If we don't get  more rain we should be able to mow the lawns tomorrow.  I still have some deadheading to do but it was the pots that were annoying me.  I've normally got them planted up by mid may.
Sounds like you have a good un next door @punkdoc
I've had my reminder too @Dovefromabove, must book it.
