Trying to stay awake here, waiting for emergency plumber . We have a major leak on a pipe to the downstairs loo  but it comes direct off the main. Had to turn stopcock off, so no water to rest of house.  Although we have insurance it's a  very slow process.  Insurance said response within three hours  then plumber's say response within four, but of course their clock starts when they called  not from when I first contacted insurance company.

Fabulous cakes @D0rdogne_Damsel!  Are you going to have a go at the Jubilee pudding?
Productive day in the garden but not a lot to show for it really as I was mostly in among my pots, finding snails, tidying up, emptying out and planting stuff then putting back so they didn't look that much different really.  But good weather forecast all week so I'll be able to get some more jobs done - and there are a lot!  Keep looking at the sweet peas that have only just gone in, having been outside in their yoghurt pots for the past few weeks.  They look very puny.  I'm sure I was picking them this time last year.  Ho hum.
Night all - late because we were on Netflix this evening and have got stuck into The Staircase.  We're starting from the beginning so don't say how it ends.

    Good morning all  :)

We had intended to get up extra early and go for a walk across a nearby farm and woodland before getting stuck into the weeding ... but I feel a bit tired this morning (I did a lot of energetic gardening yesterday), and something's gotta give ... we'll go for a walk later in the week ... today it will be a bit of gentle weeding ... there's no point in being a retired person if you can't pace yourself  :D ... so another ☕

Hope the plumber has sorted the problem @Allotment Boy ... that reminds me, our buildings insurance is due for renewal soon ... I'd better check what we're covered for ...

    Fabulous cakes @D0rdogne_Damsel ... 🥂

The plumber never came we gave up at 1:30 am. Re-booked for between 8 &12 this am so we have no mains water.  Girding myself to complain to insurance Co. After a long day in garden now this not happy to say the least.  The twins Birthday today supposed to be going there. Sil & bil supposed to stay over tonight,  they are coming up from Somerset for it.

How infuriating @Allotment Boy ... hope it's all sorted soon.

Right, the Under Gardener needs instructions ...

Heading out there ... it is lovely ... the garden's full of birds and birdsong, and if you look closely you can see a woodpigeon sitting in the birdbath ...

Hope the plumber turns up soon @Allotment Boy …….infuriating 🤬

Been busy busy busy - but the garden is looking good for it 👍🏻

We are cycling over to a neighbouring village today to check out their open gardens.  Been on the bikes quite a bit recently- trying to get toughened up because we’ve got a trip to Holland planned for the end of the month.  Can’t beat Dutch cycling 🚴‍♀️  🚴🏻‍♂️.  Staying in Utrecht (beautiful city) but might make a day trip to Amsterdam too - its a very short train ride.

So pleased to see that OH finally has a date for his op @Busy-Lizzie ……bet he is counting down the days 📆📆📆

Morning all,  How annoying @Allotment Boy  Hope it gets sorted soon.
I'm off for a blood test in a minute and then the garden beckons.  Need to tie up New Dawn, do some lawn edging and then ponder on what other plants I need to complete the revamp of the tree area.
    Enjoy you day everyone.
