When I worked in an office near a large area of woodland we used to get them on the feeders at this time of year ... the parents would bring a youngster or two ... the juveniles have 'red hats' ... the males have red napes, and the females just have red bums.  They loved the suet blocks.

Wow @Hostafan1!  I've never seen any kind of woodpecker - only heard them.

Admin day today.  Still lots to do in the garden (the pond area is completely overgrown and needs major work, but not today.  Hopefully it will be the place to be when it gets hotter later in the week, or I might work in the other shady bit of garden.

Hope your plumbing gets sorted once and for all @Allotment Boy.

    Enjoy the tennis @Dovefromabove!

    Hi all

Lovely warm day here, still very out of sorts, but have managed a wander round, taken a few pictures and given the undergardener some jobs.

Great picture @Hostafan1, I  can never get ours quick enough . They loved the insect suet blocks here too but so did the starlings,  they weren't even lasting a day by the end of May and so much mess on the ground.  I haven't bought any more now, I'm afraid they will have to go back to natural food till autumn .
BTW it looks like Hostas weather order is finally being delivered this week. 😄
