The cloud has lifted at last - no snow. 👏👏. They’ve had very good falls in the ski fields though, so some people are very happy. Lots of skiing.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ high cloud here with little blue patches peeping through and 14C. No skiing in Norfolk  @Pat E 😉

We were woken by the male robin onthe corner of next door’s wall, shoring to all comers that this is his patch.

OH will be going to work today … I’m going to make another batch of soup to freeze for his flasks … then apart from that there’s not a lot of ‘must do’ so I’ll be in the studio until it’s time to watch tennis at Queen’s.

Sounds like you have a good day planned Dove.  We went and cut more firewood earlier while the weather is fine.

    Good morning all.

Back from a long weekend in Switzerland to see my niece dance in her end of year ballet concert.  The theme was The Nutcracker and the teachers incorporated Hip Hop, Contemporary and Modern Jazz in the performance - and ballet of course.  The tiny tot class were the snowflakes and fluttered about in disarray on the stage!!

Back to a heat wave which is forecast to get hotter by Friday - 40°C!!!

I hope your sinuses are getting better @punkdoc - I feel your pain!!  @D0rdogne_Damsel Good Luck for Charlie - will he know by the end of the month?  Glad to hear that the restaurant is doing so well.

Have a pleasant day everyone - I see you are having lovely weather too.

Ooh Tui.  I don’t envy your 40. Degrees.   Love Nutcracker.  I bet it was lovely.

Grrrr just typed a message and before I had finished it disappeared off to kingdom come and this forum went with it - often happening with this old laptop and GW site, don't think they like each other! So I'll just say that  I hope you are all ok and I will pop in later. Have a lovely day folks.

Morning everyone,  didn't post yesterday. We had to get plumber back yesterday as there was still  a slight leak on the joint of the isolation valve  AND  now we have a leak at the back of the pan. This has become the bain of my life at times.
Spent rest of day in the garden with OH . Allotments today,  must get a move on before it gets too hot.

    Morning all.

OH's niece and her friend are coming to lunch today. They both have complicated diets, no gluten, no dairy, no meat, no potatoes for the friend and a few other forbidden foods. We are have seabass, rice and roasted vegetables, such as sweet peppers, aubergines, courgettes.

This morning we woke up to a power cut. I had a minor panic as here the cooking is done by electricity and OH wanted a bath and I wanted a shower and the water heater had gone off. the leccy came back after an hour, thank goodness.

Oh dear @Allotment Boy and @Busy-Lizzie ... hope all is well now 🤞

OH has gone to work, I've got a load of washing in the machine, lots of chunks of squash and some onion and carrot in the slow cooker with a bit of veg stock, cooking down to make  soup.  I've also picked Swiss chard for tonight's supper and have washed some asparagus that needs using up so I'll have that for my lunch ... it's a hard life.  ;)
