Afternoon all. Another busy day. Went to slimming club and was pleased that I had only put on a 1lb following my holiday. Considering the wine I drank (don't normally partake) it's a miracle. Then had a visit to Ashwoods where I purchased a conifer, can't remember the name, a heuchera and an echinops. This afternoon I had an appointment to get the talons sorted and now I'm finally settling down with a cuppa. I need to fill up with fuel but I'll have to save up for that after looking at the price on the pumps
Afternoon all, it's been sunny and warm all day but very blustery. Masses of rose petals everywhere which is a shame. Finished my paving project with some of the cement mortar and the Fastfix stuff left over so ran round the garden looking for other loose paving, cracked walls and gaps etc before it all went off and hardened. Quite pleased with my efforts so far, just need to fix the wooden edging now but might leave that for a couple of days to enable my back to recuperate.
Well done @Yviestevie, I know I must have put on weight over the Jubilee weekend as waistband a trifle tight - despite all my gardening exercise.
I'm suddenly suffering from a 'trigger' finger which is quite painful first thing in the morning. Anybody else ever had the same condition? Not sure if there's any treatment for it bar strapping it up overnight.
Glad you got the car fixed @didyw and a relief to you that the cost was lower than expected.
I'd better go and have a long hot shower, we're going out with friends to dinner at a local pub tonight, looking forward to meeting up.
I had trigger finger @Lizzie27 It was very annoying for a while but it suddenly went away and I haven't had it since. My mum had it for a long time. The GP said it was due to her using a walking stick. No idea what caused mine though.
Hope your finger is back to normal PDQ @L@Lizzie27
Anyone watching the end of Springwatch will have seen Chris refer to thunder right at the end of the programme … they are not far off due west of us and the storm is just arriving here … the sky in the west has turned a dramatic shade of purplish-navy and there are occasional shards of lightening in the distance … it’s very quiet here except for a blackbird on a chimneytop, challenging all-comers.
I’m really tired so I’ve come to bed … night night all, sleep tight 🥱

Morning all. Clear cold day so far. Thinking about doing a little bit of washing, but then again, maybe not. Pixel is out in the morning sun somewhere.
I did decide to do a couple of loads of washing and Pixel decided o keep me company near the line. (Rolling on a concrete bench in the sun.) She really enjoyed herself. 😁
Interesting @Hostafan1 ... I hope things continue to go as well as possible 🤞
OH woke feeling 'a bit weird and wobbly' after a disturbed night ... think it's tummy-related so he's not going in to work today ... I've put him on the sofa and will administer cups of tea as required.

The Home has new owners.
Two guys, one 32, one 34. This makes the total number of Care Homes they own to 18.
