Evening all. Cheers to the solstice!

Sorry to hear of your bad luck @Busy-Lizzie - rest and drink plenty.

I could scoff a bread roll @Dovefromabove! Only had a canteen sarnie today.

Lovely to be outside after work: potted-up peppers, pelargoniums and some clematis cuttings.

    Take care all.

Vineyards, sunflowers and cornfields in Medoc, Cognac and Gironde have been devasted by hailstones the size of tennis balls.  Dordogne has been hit badly, rooves and homes have been inundated with hailstones.  It looks as if it has been snowing inside people's homes.  Many are homeless, not enough builders to get to help secure the rooves for more rain tonight and probably to continue until the end of the week..    It's been too hot too quickly.

I sincerely hope @Busy-Lizzie and @D0rdogne_Damsel that there is not too much damage.

Oh dear @tui34, that sounds really bad, hope you're okay as well as @Busy-Lizzie@D0rdogne_Damsel, @floralies , @Papi Jo and anybody else currently in France.

It's been quite hot here but not as hot as in France, the wind has now dropped and it is a nice evening. I picked a few more strawberries and some raspberries which have just started ripening for a dessert with icecream. I should be out watering but my legs ache after a busy day so it will have to wait.

All okay down here, but the middle of France has been badly hit.

Probably no signal to tell us what their situation i like .

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️ and Very Happy Birthday @Pat E  🥳 🎂 🎁 hope you’re having a lovely day 😃

I do hope the poorly ones are improved this morning and that a brighter day has dawned. 🤗

It’s another glorious morning and we’ve just been watching a hot air balloon drift slowly past … they usually travel westwards and over us  from the launch site over the way, but today it was travelling almost due south.

Coffee is on its way ☕️

Hi everyone. Thanks Wonky and Dove for your wishes.

Ive had a very stressful day!  Firstly one of our friends arrived to drive Hubby to his appt in Canberra and I felt very lonely ( I’m not used to being on my own lately).

And I let Pixel out after they’d driven away and she didn’t come back.  I kept going onto the veranda calling her, but no sign of her. A couple of times I thought i heard a slight meow, but couldn’t quite hear her. I started thinking she’d gone down a rabbit hole or such-like and  was not able get back.  This went on for about 3-4 hours until I happened to walk around to the hill behind the house, and there she was on the roof and not game to make the return jump onto the railing that she had jumped from. 😳😳. I could have strangled her. Anyway, I couldn’t coax her jump to me so I had to wait until Hubby came home and got the ladder from the shed.  He grabbed her and she shot into the door in relief.

I’m now finding it hard to relax, even though she is curled up on the back of the lounge chair.  😡 making a cuppa to see if that helps.

Oh dear what a birthday @Pat E … put the radio on, put your feet up and do some knitting … it’s like yoga for the brain 🤗 ☕️
