We arenāt looking forward to TV tonight. Voting Day here. š”. I suppose we will have to look at some stage, but I donāt know when theyāll declare whoās leading.Ā
Good morning all š Ā āļø and hugs š¤ to @Pat E ⦠itās what friends are for. I meant to say that some friends whoāve given up smoking have found the various nicotine replacement gums etc really helpful ⦠your daughter may be able to get help giving up smoking with a planned programme from a pharmacy or similar. Worth investigating šĀ
Itās a lovely morning here ⦠it seems that the rain was only scheduled for our seaside trip š ⦠next time A visits Iāll ask him to arrange a better deal with the weather gods. šĀ
OH has been called in to work today as a colleague is unavailable⦠no matter as A had intended to go home today ⦠I think he wants to do a bit of moseying about in the city centre and marketplace so Iāll probably drop him off on the inner ring road sometime this morning ⦠Norwichās shops are all easily accessible on foot from there, and the station isnāt far from the centre either and thereās a bus every 15 mins if he chooses to do that.
Ā Iāll come home and do some pottering about ⦠does waging war on the Geum urbanum now that the rain has softened the ground count as pottering I wonder? ⦠and thereās Diamond League athletics on tv later ā¦Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hubby took a photo of Pixel sitting on a post this afternoon. She loves being outside.
That Banksia with the orange cone is Banksia ericifolia āGiant Candlesā which is really a coastal one, but seems to be happy enough here in our mountainous area.Ā
If I were Pixel I would want to stay with you @Pat E.Ā You love her and she loves where you live.Ā How is your son taking your daughter's news?Ā Worrying times for all of you. Your trip to Southwold sounds exactly like so many trips I have made with various friends and family members @Dovefromabove - including looking anxiously at the sky and then declaring that as there was enough blue to make a pair of sailor's trousers all was well!Ā We tend not to go in high season, although a few years ago, when I was at the height of my jewellery making passion I used to attend a craft fair every other week in the Methodist Hall, more or less opposite Adnams (and the sweet shop).Ā We all managed to find parking spots quite near the hall (although we were there early of course).Ā That was great fun.Ā Another friend runs regular craft fairs in a hall off the High Street now - but I have lost interest in jewellery making and just wouldn't have the time to go to craft fairs now.
How lovely @Pat E. Perhaps your son can see how much she enjoys being outside and having freedom, Ā seems a shame to take her back to his place where she can never go out again. Ā
I walked around the garden just writing down what needs doing, 2 strips of paper, Ā now started a third and will prioritise the jobs. Ā Problem is, Ā Which ones are more important.Ā
Secretly praying for rain again so I donāt have to go out there at all, Ā I donāt think that will happen today.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.Ā

Dull dank day here, but so much to do, i will have to get out there.
Glad you had a good day yesterday, @Dovefromabove.

Sounds a good day out @Dovefromabove. Good that the rain stopped.
It rained quite a bit yesterday morning. I had a quiet day, hemmed 2 pairs of jeans but not the third as I couldn't find any black cotton.
We are going to a concert tonight in a village church.
Must go and hang the sheets on the line.
