Indeed I do @punkdoc … local press is full of little else

Although of course, being a Tractor Girl I’m cheering for your team COYS 😎

Hope your cold gets better soon … maybe a hot toddy or two would help?

Think we've got most of the dratted Geum out @yviestevie ... and OH has gone high and low up banks and beneath Rosa glaucas and been digging out buckets full of the dratted Three Cornered Leek as well ... where does the flamin' stuff come from???  Anyway, there's now lots of bare freshly dug and raked soil that needs filling ... I suspect a trip to the GC might be on the cards later in the week ...

Three cornered leek is a new one on me @Dovefromabove.  It looks v.similar to the star of Bethlehem that I hate, that sends up its grassy shoots every spring and is impossible to eradicate.
Back from planting up the planters around the war memorial and on the church railings. Silver, white and purple for the Jubilee.  I forget what hard work it is each time, but luckily there were two of us on this bit.  Other teams were at the Castle, the Library, the little peace garden etc.  The hanging baskets go up next week.  It is satisfying work though as everyone always appreciates the effect.
Quick cuppa then change into my shorts and get the veg patch weeded cabbages planted out and bean frame put up.

@didyw, did you see the message on 19th May?

OH is not a happy bunny, the mole has been running riot. Nothing works.

We had a light salad lunch sitting in the garden. The sun was quite hot.

I think @punkdoc may be feeling a lot better … his team is winning … and it’s a rout … @WonkyWomble may have to console her papa. 😉

Garden thermometer shows a high of 27.6 here @Hostafan1  … it’s been glorious 😎  but we could do with a bit more rain … the soil is dry as dust below the surface …

Hi all, it's been another glorious day here. I gritted my teeth and got the power washer out - so many cables/hosepipes to look out for! Took me ages just to set everything up and move pots etc out of the way.  I'd managed to do a fair bit of the paving when the cavalry arrived in the shape of my son. I was awfully glad to see him and he was a happy bunny as Bath rugby won yesterday. He did most of the rest and then we stopped for a late lunch after which he left for home. I tried to book him in for next year but he's volunteered his son instead!

Have had to take painkillers and rest as my back is now killing me. Annoying when the weather's still so good.

Hope Punkdoc's team wins to cheer him up.

We've got a lot of geum urbanum as well Dove, and you're right's it's such a pain.

Psst, my daughter's been gardening today, think she'll make a gardener yet.
