That is just the type of report I would have expected @punkdoc from the "expert". It is now left up to you to pursue the matter or not. If you are willing to find a good lawyer who believes you have a good case and you are willing to spend the money then give it a go. It looks as if other people haven't wanted to take the risk so he gets away with it, but who can blame them? We have taken the risk here and will know in a couple of weeks if it was futile.

Ooooops and double ooooops!! Picture this - I have a large lounge sized bedroom (plus en suite). In corner next to bed I have my 'desk' with my laptop, mouse and mouse mat, plus all sorts of other gubbins that collects on a small desk space - bedside clock, lamp, note books, calendar, kitchen roll, bits of paper with notes that might be useful, cigarette rolling equipment in case I have a craving (trying to cut down), sweeties to keep cigarette craving at bay, a couple of maps in case I need to go somewhere, etc. Radiator next to me to keep my aged body warm and window in wall in front of me to let me breathe in fresh air all the time. AND early morning full cup of tea sitting on my right next to the mouse mat. Laptop open and tuned into GW ........... can you guess what's coming?? Youngest pup came hell for leather into bedroom shouting 'hello hello it's morning and we are awake'!! Flying leap on to the bed, two leaps diagonally and skidding to a halt with front paws on corner of my desk. Tea cup leapt inches into the air and crashed down again. Tea shot out over mouse mat, mouse and half of laptop!
Action stations! Mopping with kitchen roll, luckily right to hand, disconnected laptop and turn upside down - tea dripping out!! When it stopped dripping we moved it to the top of the rayburn in the kitchen and left it there on newspaper for the morning - nothing to loose. Mouse also full of tea but not dripping, got put on radiator on an old sock and left in hope. Did not tell pup off as she is a rescue and only 8 months and it is wonderful to have her greet us with such enthusiasm, anyway I should not have had my tea so close to the laptop - been in this very spot for at least 10 years with no previous problem!
Update - guess what? Late afternoon laptop, after one or two weird pictures, decided to boot up and work perfectly, but mouse, although working, feels as if it is filled with cotton wool lol!!
Perhaps this should be in the 'Reasons to be cheerful' thread??

My OH tipped a glass of champagne into his laptop some years ago. It didn't wok for months then he tried it again and it worked! Carried on for another few years before it died. I hope yours is OK @AnnaB.

We enjoyed Downton Abbey, the latest film, very much at the cinema. Made me laugh and cry.

A good day … toms have been potted on … a dozen for me and the same for @WonkyWomble … then later unexpected flying visit from son … a valued client was going to call a cab to take him to Norwich after returning hired vehicle to son’s company … cabs were all busy and he was going to have to wait an hour so son offered to drive him up here for whatever a cab would charge, and popped in to see us. 😎

Then I finished the neck on OH’s jumper so that’s ready to sew up.

    Now it’s bedtime … night night everyone… sleep tight 🛌 😴

AnnieB, loved your pup story. Thankfully, Pixel is a very sedate cat, so she spends a lot of time dozing on the headrest next to me on the lounge chair.  She was a rescue cat years ago, too.
We are planning to drive out to the back area again after Hubby finishes his cuppa. More firewood cutting. 🙄. We seem to be getting through a lot. The weather girl showed a photo this morning of snow on the ground up in the Snowies.  It’s about an hour’s drive from us, so we won’t be surprised to wake to some in the next few days. 😳

Morning Dove. We are back from the wood cutting and now have a lovely cup of tea. 4pm though, so no inside jobs done.

I think you should both put your feet up for a bit @Pat E … you’ve had an energetic day. I hope there’s something easy for supper …

    Morning!

Overcast and cool here - not as cool as you have up yonder - but 15°C is cool.  A high of 19°/20°.  Same weather over the next few days.

My veggie garden is planted except for a couple of aubergine plants.  2 is enough for the summer ratatouille and some for the freezer.   50 various tomato plants.

@Pat E   Good that you have a free supply of dry wood - I hope the wind doesn't get up and blow the cold your way.  The housework will always be there tomorrow!

We may be in for a cold winter this year, as often the northern hemisphere follows the south.  We had a fairly mild winter this year - according to statistics.  With the price of oil and electricity going sky high, it could be difficult for many many people.

That's a great yarn @AnnaB  - sounds like my work station which reminds me, I should get into it and tidy it up plus some drawers as well - the ones where the pens, paper clips etc are kept (under everything else!!).

I hope your day is a good one today.

    Hi all

We have had some much needed rain, but it is very chilly again.
Managed to find a hotel very close to MILs nursing home in Banchory, so we will be off for a few days soon.
