My youngest daughter is also having her third in September, don't know what variety yet. I think it's a shame folk want to know in advance, spoils the lovely surprise. As long as he/she is healthy, with all the essential parts,it doesn't matter.

We’ve had a lovely time pottering about the area … coffee and cake and looking at stuff at Wymondham Mill, then Rutland Water, Stamford, Barnack Hills & Holes and John Clare’s cottage at Helpston (some of my favourite places that I live to visit) then back here for tea. 😊

Oh no, @Yviestevie, how disappointing for you. I hope your back isn't hurting too much.

Sounds a lovely day @Dovefromabove. Are you anywhere near Geoff Hamilton's garden? I don't know that area at all.

We had a delicious lunch in the pub, a sharing platter. I've never had one before. Luckily we have similar tastes. Too full for pud. Then we went to Peter Beales as it wasn't far. I wanted a watering lance, but they didn't have one. I bought a geranium, Summer Skies. It was mentioned on a thread here but some people didn't care for it. I think it's very pretty and cottage gardeny.

Yes @Busy-Lizzie we’re about 12 miles from Geoff Hamilton ‘s garden (we’ve been several times) and about 6 from Adam Frost’s place (the big place, and I believe the place he’s moved to isn’t far away from there). It is lovely around here … gorgeous creamy stone cottages, and of course beautiful Burghley House and the gorgeous town of Stamford. It’s a really lovely area.

I have Summer Skies - 10 years old and beautiful flowers every year.  Trust your instincts @Busy-Lizzie and you know you’ll be spot on 👍🏻

Morning folks. Went to bed at 10, absolutely shattered! Was up at 1,still awake at 3, gave up got up at 5. Have watered pots, ferns, the "damp" shady area, overnight rain promised for the second time in a week,no, nothing. Blue sky now. Got up to 22c yesterday,12c overnight. Went out for lunch to our usual place yesterday, hubby had gammon, and a robin popped down and pinched a bit of the fat/skin off his plate! Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Hello Hosta. I beat you there then! Occasionally,I will go back to sleep, wake up around 7, but that doesn't help,I wake up feeling like I've been beaten up and drugged (no,I haven't actually) post anaesthesia, yes. I don't do the "are you awake", phone goes in the conservatory, because people message at stupid o clock.
