Very slight drizzle here this morning, but clearing from the west so we might have some sun later this morning. Not enough rain to make any difference.
OH spent yesterday painting the ceiling, have now discovered that the brand we used for the topcoat doesn’t cover as well or look as nice as the half tin he used up for the first coat. Trip to the diy store this morning to pick up another tin of the original. Getting really boring now, we just want it finished so we can move back into the room.

Hello folks ā˜•ļø ā˜•ļø ā˜•ļø … we have t’internet-ish … it’s coming and going. It’s also drizzling on and off … maybe the two are connected šŸ¤” the baby plants are all outside getting used to ā€˜weather’ … and yesterday evening the Under Gardener erected the bean canes šŸ„‡Ā

I’m feeling a bit sad. Our Ukelele teacher sent a message to advise that one of our group has just passed away from cancer. Ā  She was so brave and very bright and cheerful all the time, but she knew that she would eventually go. Ā We haven’t been meeting for several months because of Covid, so I’d lost contact with her. Ā So sad. Ā Never mind, no point in dwelling on it. I’ll think of all the fun we had while we were meeting. Ā

Our condolences @Pat E … so sad when a friend goes … especially when, as recently, we’ve not seen as much of them as we would have liked. Ā MIL lost her dearest friend just a few months ago … she really misses her but, like you she’s concentrating on remembering all the happy times. šŸ¤—Ā

Afternoon folks, we had rain overnight! After I'd watered the roses of course. Not sure how much but it looked rather damp when we got up. I had my usual pleasant walk to the paper shop this morning, the local community orchard is a sea of cow parsley underneath apple blossom - breathtaking.Ā
The holiday washing is in the machine and I'd better shift myself this afternoon to do a quick clean/tidy up as DIL is coming tonight. She's offered to cook a chicken risotto for us so looking forward to that. I love not having to cook or think about meals, find it very boring unlike all you super cooks on here.
Very sad news @chicky and @Pat E, my condolences to both of you.

Hi folks,Ā  No gardening for me today.Ā  It was art class this morning and then had to pop to Merry Hell to take some stuff back to Next and M&S.Ā  Hubby came along and we sorted out the euros for our trip to Menorca later this month.Ā  We had coffee with Bestie who we met whilst shopping.Ā  They came and took Hubby's car this morning so we are officially a one car household now.Ā  Tomorrow I'm popping into Ashwoods for some odds and ends.Ā  Wonder what I'll come home with ;)

Sorry to hear your sad newsĀ @chickyĀ andĀ @"Pat E"
