I'm with you @Pat E - I could happily be vegetarian.  I was for a few years when my daughter was little (although she had meat and fish).  But as I don't eat fish it would be unfair on my husband to deprive him of meat as well!  He cooks fish if I am away, and always orders it when we eat out.
End of June sounds perfect @Lizzie27 - my calendar is gloriously empty then!
I think you will prefer the cottage @Punkdoc.  Much nicer to be able to cook your own meals and come and go as you please.
Managed to pot up the bare root stachys that had arrived.  Looking forward to getting them and a few other things actually planted next week.
But can't hang about - as everything is happening all at once at the moment I am espying one of my spinning plates about to fall...

Afternoon all, I'm tired out, been into town for a haircut and a browse for a new top for an event next week. Couldn't decide which one I liked best so bought 3, very extravagant I know but two fitted very well (although different sizes!) and it's not often i find clothes to fit me. We 've been invited to a lunchtime 'wake/celebration of life' which might be held in our friend's garden so it's a bit weather dependent. They've said black is optional which always throws me so I've opted for safe navy blue. I much prefer to be formal for such occasions which I know is an old-fashioned outlook.

Blicking Hall sounds very good @Dovefromabove, we're NT members so that will be perfect. How about Tuesday, 28th June or Wed 29th?

@Pat E, I found one of our neighbours' cats, in my flower bed beside a nepeta - absolutely stoned yesterday!

@Lizzie27 ... I can do either of those dates ... let's see if any others of the Norfolk contingent are up for it ... I'm aware that it's a bit of a trek for @didyw and @Busy-Lizzie as they're quite a bit further south than me ...

I've had a lovely day out with Busy Lizzie at Peter Beales' Classic Roses ... lots of chat about all sorts of stuff, coffee and pastries, plus lots of browsing of roses and changing of my mind when I thought I knew what I wanted ...  indecision still reigns as far as the rose goes, but I did manage to pick up three bags of manure, two handsome Achillea Moonshine for my dry sunny bed, and a little something for Wonky to make her smile when I visit her tomorrow for the Great Norfolk/Suffolk Plant Swap ...... why did that make me think of Noel Edmonds? 😱

    Morning all.

I'm still having coffee in bed.

I enjoyed seeing @Dovefromabove yesterday at Peter Beales. Soon after I got home my brother arrived, a few hours early. So yesterday was a very chatty day.

Morning all.  Have a good day with Wonky, @Dovefromabove!  And glad you and @Busy-Lizzie had a good day yesterday.
The overnight rain and possibly thunderstorms forecast yesterday for tonight and early tomorrow morning has disappeared for the forecast now.
Fingers crossed for me everyone for a fine dry start to the day tomorrow!  I don't mind if it rains after everyone has set up for the Garden Market, but would like it to be dry from 6.45am - 9am!
