So very sorry to read the sad news from @Chicky and @PatE this morning. You posted while I was posting and I didn't think to check back afterwards. My sincere condolences to both of you.

Following my trip to the Opticians, I now need to wear specs all the time.
Ashamed to be told my last check up was in 2013 :|

Thanks for the hugs - very welcome.  And some of mine back to you @Pat E - that is very sad news.

Hope you’ve chosen some jazzy specs @Hostafan1.  Pleased to say my contact lenses still sort me out pretty well - one eye sees short, the other long and my brain scrambles the results together- extremely handy 🥸

    Evening. Just nipping in…

Looks like rain for my day off tomorrow but the garden deserves it.

Thoughts/hugs/cuppas to those who need it.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Thanks everyone for all your condolences. I must admit a blood night's sleep has helped. I feel less shocked this morning.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
gorgeous photo @Pat E … how can you not smile with such good company 😊
We have an unexpected band of rain passing over us … well, the app calls it rain but it’s more like drizzle … I’ll see how it develops before putting the tomatoes and squashes out … but I think the grand will be fine … they’re a runner x French bean hybrid and a bit more tolerant of ‘weather’ than the ordinary runners. I’ll be planting them out soon so they’ll have to cope 😊
