Your family gatherings are going to be lively, Hosta. Have you ever heard the saying - the terrible twos? 😂😂😂

Morning all. A quick dip in, havent had much chance lately. Spent a month helping youngest daughter move. Then problems with youngest son, and toothache! Now been taking youngest grandson to school, hes been struggling with all the massive changes in his young life, so last night, stayed over after school. The garden at this time, busy, busy.Hope everyone is OK, and have a good day.

Good morning all and congratulations to the @Hostafan1 clan … 🥂 lovely news ((hugs)) 😊
Gracious me!!! Three lads much the same age !!! 🙃

This village has so many songthrushes… yesterday evening we were almost deafened by competing males at the tops of two nearby trees!

    Morning all!

Windy and cool but sunny this morning.

    Congratulations to you @Hostafan1 !!

@floralies  We could do with a bit of your rain over this way.  We had some sprinkles on Wednesday evening, but nothing major.

@Dovefromabove  It must be thrushes that I hear on my walks - beautiful bird calling and whistling!!  I'd like to record it on my phone to have it as a ring tone, but every time I try and get near, they stop!!

    Enjoy your Friday everyone.

@tui34 I love the way thrushes sing a little phrase two or three times and then another and then another … in case we couldn’t believe what we heard the first time …

    As Robert Browning wrote …

“… That's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture! …”

Morning all, windy and cool here also @tui34, I think we have seen the last of the rain for a while 30 deg forecast for next week! Must start hardening off my plants in the GH today.
Congratulations @Hostafan1 family gatherings will certainly be entertaining!
We only see Thrushes here in the Autumn when they are migrating, and Robins are only here in the winter! Our Blackbird population is almost depleted, we used to have loads but no more, all due I think to the different farming practices round about. Plenty of bats, bees and butterflies though  B)

Goodness, those hostas do clump up, don't they?  :D Congratulations  B)

Cool and rather grey again here. They keep saying it's going to get warmer, but it never seems to be today. Maybe next week.

    Morning all.

It's sunny in south Norfolk, bit of a breeze.

OH is taking me out to lunch today in a pub that had closed down. It has been bought and done up and re-opened.

Afternoon all,  Congratulations @Hostafan1 Yesterday was a long day at the polling stations 15 hours on a hard back chair isn't good for me.  Never mind it didn't go too slow as the other staff are fun and kept me going.
Was planning on taking it steady today and just pot up some seedlings.  I did 20 purple cosmos, 16 cosmos daydream, 20 Ammi Majus and 16 Snapdragon Twinny Rose.  Added them to the two trays of plants already on the shelving in the greenhouse.  Walked away, an almighty crash and the lot was on the floor.  I've managed to get them all back in the pots but can't guarantee colours as the label had fallen out.  Don't know how many will survive but all I can do is keep my fingers crossed.  My back is now thoroughly bu**er*d and I'm drinking tea on the sofa.
